My wife and I generally don't start shows until they've finished, but not surprised by the reviews Farrell is getting. He was the best part of "The Batman."

Enjoying the Penguin but Farrell is absolutely carrying that show. It would be just another forgettable DC property without his casting.

Holy **** when I tell you it took me .3 seconds to hit play on this when it popped up in the feed.

Loved the first season. Trailer above was pretty heavy on the groan worthy cliches but I was all the way in when C.J. Cregg showed up at the end.
Can't wait.

Special Ops: Lioness season 2 premiers 10/27. I liked season 1.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Lioness certainly filled that Jack Ryan void for me. Glad they're already coming out with a second season.

Suggestions?
I'm starting For All Mankind. Think I heard that was good.
First two seasons are great. Stop there.
Black Bird was good. Ted Lasso was great but got progressively less-so. I enjoyed Masters of the Air by the time it was finished. Mystic Quest is great with some really standout episodes, but the last season was a step down. So far through a few episodes Bad Monkey is solid.
Other than that, others seem to like Severance, The Afterparty, Pachinko, and Slow Horses.
The best thing Apple TV does is their MLB broadcasts, which seem like they come from 20 years in the future.
Silo
I just finished the book trilogy after growing tired of waiting for season 2 (which is only the second half of the first book). The show is so damn good, Rebecca Ferguson is on an unreal heater. They absolutely nailed the casting of the show.
Shrinking is hilarious

Agreed, though I'd add that Cristin Milioti is a great Sofia Falcone. She has just the right level of intensity-bordering-on-insanity. She and Farrell steal every scene they're in.

I've been over Taylor Sheridan's thing for a while now but it sounds like Lioness is worth checking out.

Sheridan is spreading himself pretty thin with his Paramount deal. He wrote all 8 episodes of season 1. Good stuff. Not sure if he wrote all of season 2.
His next one is Landman, premiering in November. Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Hamm have my attention.
Tulsa King I enjoy but Sheridan doesn't write it he's just the showrunner. Terrance Winter (Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire) is the main writer.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Shrinking and Slow Horses are a couple other Apple tv shows that havent been mentioned yet. Shrinking has a new season out soon and Slow Horses just finished a season I think.

KAOS needed a more provocative title and better promotion. Another great show the streamers are too impatient to recognize.

Not sure if it's already been said, but definitely Ted Lasso.
One of my favorite shows of all time.

Hadn't seen the James Brown footage before. That...was rough.
But Netflix really needs to air this.

Really enjoyed the first season, too. Ben and Tommy from the Pod Save the World podcast, who both worked in national security during Obama's presidency, were both really into it as a pretty accurate portrayal (I think one of their former colleagues may have been an advisor or in the writing room).

Thanks for the suggestions!
Was quickly bored with "For All Mankind". I'm too much of a space race nut to imagine an alternate time line. May revisit at some point.
Started "Black Bird". Like it a lot.

The Godfather is a boardroom drama. Which is okay if that's your thing.

I find this happening a good amount with shows on Netflix. If I don't watch them within a week when they're getting The Buzz, they get added to a list that I never return to.
