I agree, I think SD gets the last slot and maybe Baltimore gets the first slot. We'll be late afternoon or early evening slot.

Take it for what it’s worth, but MLB Central just said that due to the presidential debate that all Tuesday games will be in the afternoon. They were talking about the Braves and Mets game on Monday and the quirk they have to turnaround and play an afternoon game on Tuesday.

That's odd. It's a VP debate, WTF cares. Now all 4 games will be bunched up. Boo.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Anybody else having bar code issues for game tomorrow (if going)? I bought a seat off TickPick and in my Ballpark app its saying bar code unavailable due to ticket not fully paid. Per Reddit others are having same issue.

^ I did get the bar code this afternoon.

I should have waited another day, prices really dropped in last 24 hours.

40K announced but certainly seemed like less. Crazy to me a bobblehead game vs Colorado had a bigger crowd than a playoff game. Good atmosphere, especially early, but a little disappointing turnout to be honest. Guess a little complacency has set in for making playoffs, right or wrong. Certainly get frustration with how things have ended but feel should sell out playoff games.

Looks like ton of $10 tickets available for tomorrow (if necessary) in a Waste Management promotion. Almost all Terrace Level seats remaining are $10 (plus fees).

I'm thinking about buying some game 3 tix. 7:30 start works. And I'd get my money back with a loss tonight. A win tonight and game 3 prices will go up.

Surprisingly prices on TickPick are higher for tonight and tomorrow than they were for yesterday. Maybe the start time was an issue for Game 1.

Have to think tonight is a sellout. Would love to be there, but not going to be able to pull it off with drive, etc. Looks like Game 2 had a few hundred more “paid attendance” fans than Game 1. Should he a great atmosphere.

NLDS tickets went on sale today. I think I’m going to hold off for now. Even if advance, could see prices drop if go down 2-0. Game 3 and 4 would be next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Starting to get the feeling Uecker may have called his last game. Someone posted Yelich’s interview in the game thread and could tell he was super emotional after he said he talked to Uecker. Uecker’s sign-off had alot of pauses and said it really stings. And someone on reddit posted Levering’s sign-off and he was clearly struggling to get through it. Seems like they all maybe know something.

Ueck is being used so sparingly these days that I wouldn't read that into Yelich's reaction. They're good friends and I'm sure they wanted to win it for him as much as anyone (though Ueck does have a WS title as a player).

But i'm sure Ueck will continue to be used sparingly, as much as he wants to and is physically able. And even if he calls it quits, I'm sure he'll still pop in from time to time.

True. I would be curious how many games he even did this year. Have to think it was under 25% and that may be on the high end.

Yeah I don't think Ueck will ever officially hang it up. Hopefully he can keep doing some games.

Said it last year, but I doubt Ueck ever stops calling games, even if its only like 20 games a year.

MLB attendance rose 0.9% this year and for the first time since 2011 and 2012 there was consecutive year increases.

Brewers averaged 31,232 fans per game (16th) which was slightly down from 31,497/game (15th) last year. I think it took a few months this year before people started to get a little more interested. Both are higher than 2022 (30,155/game - 14th).

Brewers were close, down 0.5% from last year. Down 13.2% from 2019. This franchise badly needs to made a playoff run to get the regular season juices flowing again for fans.

Agreed. I think will need to make a deep run before ever get back into that 35,000-ish range again. I felt like this year as season went on there was more vibe than the year before, but we’ll see. I don’t really expect a big splash move or anything.

Brian Anderson signed an extension with TNT Sports and looks like will be adding tennis starting next spring as TNT starts their 10 year deal with the French Open. That will take him away the back half of May into June.

Interesting - I totally missed this somehow. Great news for tennis fans, as NBC absolutely blows for major sporting event coverage as they never utilize the other channels in their network, and don't prioritize coverage over their usual programming (except as minimally needed for the Olympics).

For BA, this should be a wash at worse considering he has no basketball to cover.
