The desperation to validate black support of Trump is palpable.

It's a myth. Trump has not picked up any of the black vote that went to Biden.

I've been hearing about "Blacks for Trump" for the last few years, yet Black women and men still vote Dems in massive numbers over Republicans. Even despite the fact that Black men aren't a 99% bloc like Black women are, because our sisters understand the gravity of this situation way more than we do, we still support Dems at a rate better than other male racial/ethnic groups.

It's all a lie, and there's no coincidence that the openly loud Black male Trump supporters routinely engage in misogyny, bigotry, and antisemitism like their white male counterparts. If Republicans weren't so racist they'd be able to peel away a lot more men then I'd care to admit....but still not enough to remotely make a dent in Black support for Democrats.

When you've got Black men questioning a candidate's "racial purity", that should tell you everything about where they are regurgitating their talking points from.

I am a big believer that you have to be careful of the company you keep because your associates reflect on you. Even if the association is only political. The loudest trump supporters are MAGA, and by the majority, they are proud, loud, and ignorant racists. So people assume everyone is. Blame Trump for this because he could have either distanced himself from them or at least chided them, and instead, we got the famous quote "Fine People on Both Sides" when a bunch of wannabe KKK members and neo-nazies marched on Charlottesville.

It also doesn't help that when he began this campaign, his closest policy people were pushing "Project 2025," which is designed to make America a country designed to place White Christian nationalists in all positions of power to the detriment of everyone else.

I am 40, so even as a small child, I was around for Reagan and have memories of arguably the most conservative America had been since Eisenhower, and NOTHING since then compares to the tripe Trump is trying to force down America's throat. So yes, people are livid because this does feel like an election of the existential spirit of America, and while I question the Democrats on a lot of policies, I am also not as scared for my life and the lives of my loved ones if they win either.
