Suggs wants way more than his worth for a 3D player. He's good, but not near max good. One might argue AB provides what he does, but with better handles and vision. The magic would be smart to let the market set his value as a restricted FA.

Still a lot of extensions on the table, I would be surprised if we don't see a flurry of activity today.

I'm not too concerned if it gets done today or not. Suggs will be on the Magic for a long time regardless of what happens today.

Trey murphy making 112/4 makes jalen’s cheap, imo.

Feels like the Magic would take that number on Suggs in a heartbeat.

It should give us some leverage, with the new cba no one will offer 30M to a 3rd option, so we can seat nicely and wait next year RFA

That's a fair comp as a player and a fair number for both.

IF Suggs wants to bet on his year raising his value - I support him...otherwise sign, grab the generational financial security and play ball.

With how big these numbers are it doesn't seem like it should be hard to get these young guys to lock in genertional wealth. 5/150 is 16.7% of the cap. Everybody else is signed and tradable, 16.7% is plenty reasonable for what Suggs projects to be.

Get it done.

I don't know....the Celtics 5th player makes $30M, and they have two guys on the super max, making over $57M per year. $30m ain't what it used to be.

Granted there are not a whole lot of teams with a bunch of cap space, but thats more because not too many players actualy make it to free agency anymore.

those are fringe all-star level players though with championship rings.
They’ve EARNED those contracts and that’s why the team is willing to pay it.

He played more MPG for New Orleans than Suggs did for Orlando last year.

Someone remind Suggs that he has an injury history, do not go into the new season without a guaranteed contract.

Go Magic, Go Dwight, Go Vuc, Go Paolo, Go Keegan :)

Same. I voted for upper tier. Concerned that if Black pans out we can't afford him, but maybe Black pans out means we are championship level.
