I think that depends on how deep has Doc sunk his claws into Haslam.

You've mentioned Haslam a few times. Maybe I'm missing something, why do you think Haslam has so much influence? It's my understanding he's busy with the Browns and his other businesses. He's rarely at games. Edens is at games and seems to be in charge.

It's speculative to some degree.

I think Haslam bought in with the idea that he was going to be a significant voice. And Haslam was at the Bridgeman intro while Edens was not. Haslam also seemed to be buddy buddy with Doc at that intro.

I'm assuming that Edens wouldn't can Doc without Haslam's say so, especially with the money involved. And Edens comes off as a more credible owner than Haslam, based on Haslam's performance with the Browns, so I think it's more likely Doc would have sway with Haslam over Edens. And finally, Haslam was here for the Doc hire, so he has a stake in it.

Fuggit, try Jackson Jr at the one. Pop would.

If we keep looking this terrible there's really no reason not to just play the 19-year-olds. I got through the third quarter last night by telling myself we'd get to see them get big minutes. Of course, we couldn't even do that right.

Energy and effort are overused cliches. But that's something that is sorely lacking. And while I have doubts that J Jr. will ever be a valuable rotation piece I'm glad he's getting some burn. Let him have 18-20 minutes more or less depending on circumstances. He played 18 last night. Give him consistent minutes, don't sit him for the next 2 weeks.

I just hope that Dame can improve to 5 points in this one. $12 million per point is a little extravagant for my tastes.

Did they make major trades this year or mostly just more experienced now?

Beat the Cavs. Change the narrative. This team shouldn’t be this bad

The prospects are not looking great
It's no good to say sit and wait
It's far from heartwarming
This underperforming
I'm hoping for seed number eight

Just kidding. No matter how bleak things look now, the decades when our idea of aiming high was capturing that elusive 8 seed are still fresh in my mind.

What we have now is better than that, no matter how bad it looks now. Bucks favored by 1.5 and should snap out of it tonight. Still a title contender, and still way better than the dark days of wishing and hoping just to make the playoffs.

Didn’t Horst want Atkinson and got overruled?

That's my impression. Horst's drafting and trading away all future draft capital are on him but I have little doubt that firing Bud, hiring Griff or hiring Doc were not his decisions.

Pretty stupid to not allow the dude that built a roster pick the coach to lead them.

Play the young kids especially the two rookies to develop them we are the worst team on developing our young players.

Is there a link to verified info that Horst wanted Atkinson? Or is it just internet speculation? It could be legit and I missed it.

It's mostly speculation but I could have sworn there've been multiple tidbits in some of the Griff fallout articles along the lines of "the front office preferred Atkinson, Giannis preferred a former player, so ownership made the call to go with Griff". And connecting the dots it 100% tracks (Atkinson was a Pop coaching tree guy, same as Bud). So as much deserved blame that Horst should get for the current roster construction, he'd at least be batting 2-for-2 on coaching hires if meddling ownership just let the GM do his job.
