A new coach, new players, healthy Middleton could all help, but before Bucks do that I believe they can make some adjustments that will also help them improve.I will start from the bigs. None of them is the problem IMO. The problem is that they are all not used properly.

- Giannis is building a nice chemistry with Dame and looks willing to let the ball in his hands. Now it's the time for the next step. He should become the starting C in this team and focus on getting the DPOY award. Part of our struggles in his luck of effort to run the show offensively.

- Brook it's time to get the Horford treatment (and contract moving forward) as the 6th starter. He still holds value as a situational big.

- Bobby is just not even a situational C. He has served well every time he was called to become the starting PF with Giannis out. He just put a 19/13 perfomace in the 5 playoff games (that was not ejected) against Indiana.

Who starts at SG? There is no need for a SG to hit some 3s with Dame already doing that and Giannis at C. Actually there are litteraly no shots available with Midds and Bobby in the starting lineup too. Is Jackson the best defender? He starts. Period. Keep the shooters for the second unit (Green, Trent) and use Pat and Prince just to soak up minutes.

Lillard (36)/Green (12)
Jackson (24)/Trent (20)/Green (4)
Midds (28)/Pat (14)/Prince (6)
Portis (28)/Giannis (12)/Prince (8)
Giannis (24)/Lopez (24)

Do that first. Trade later.

Brook's main trade value is as an expiring. So we'd have to take back a longer contract. That would be ok depending who it is.

Khris has no trade value currently. Pat has no trade value. Bobby's trade value is declining. All 3 have player options next year (can we stop doing that please?). Bobby's deal is a bargain. Sort of.

We're so damn limited in what we can do.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

What are the chances Bobby doesn't pick up his PO for next season?

He wants an extension. If he doesn't get one he'll likely opt out. $13.4 million next year is a bargain.

Who’s the 3rd team that has the player(s) we want that can facilitate a trade that sends Brook to LAL?

Bucks in - Colin Sexton, Walker Kessler

Lakers in - Brook Lopez

Jazz in - Dlo Russell, Hood-Schfino, Christian Wood, Marjon Beauchamp, Lakers 1st

Jazz get a 1st, get off 2 longer contracts and 25mil(ish) in expirings

Lakers get front court help for AD and Lebron

Bucks get a scoring combo guard and extra ball handler and a younger and more mobile rim protector.

Find a Bobby trade next….

I love this trade. But no way do I see the Jazz giving up the two best guys for just a Lakers far off pick.

Jazz turned down an offer of 2 - 1sts for Kessler in the offseason.

They are significantly better with Dunn on the floor, and he's shooting 39% from 3. Dunn was averaging 17 mpg until the game he left with injury. He's clearly in the rotation, and even started 2 games.

Meanwhile, you thought AJJ should be on our rotation, but instead he's not even good enough for the G League. He's a massive project who should be on a 2 way deal.

I think you have to put a lot of it on him. The team was 33-11 under Adrian Griffin. And it’s not just the coaching, but player personnel input that we miss with Bud. Becoming clear that while Horst is good at technically pulling off trades under the cap, Bud was the guy identifying people who fit his system.

How many years ago was the last good addition under Bud? Bobby Portis? Bud got lazy, and it killed us.

Yeah, I think Dunn is a mainstay in the Phoenix rotation when healthy.

Shannon is a guy I had a notch higher, but loved both. He fell into a rough situation, though. Not many minutes to be had with Jaden, Donte, NAW, etc.

I have been trying to find a deal that makes sense for NAW, though. They can't afford to re-sign him. He would be awesome here.

He's getting 15 minutes a game, man.

Doc is gonna be both.

They re upped Carter and signed Jingles his last year as coach.

Those don't count?

Giannis changed the League's Center position in 2021 ... we won the ring with him at Center.

Here we are in 2024-2025 with Giannis still playing at PF and the last slow mo disney dinosaur left in the league playing for Center.

I remember Giannis being the fastest and strongest PF in the league ... Now the game has involved cause of Giannis too ... opponents PFs are smaller and faster than Giannis a bit less stronger than Giannis BUT able to hit 3s so Giannis has to guard them way off the rim.

This is why I called it in 2021 right after the ring, to trade Brook. We involved the game and we are the ones who didn't even realise it.

Giannis you are Center till you retire buddy, get used to it, you changed it, be happy there and I am sure you can do equal damage and mayne more as a C. Cause right now your defensive impact has taken a bit hit, because modern 4s are fast and hit 3s ...

Please Doc, or whoever has any brain cells working in the Bucks Org, play Giannis Center ... period.

Tyler Smith has the body requirements of a modern 4 , we need to give him a chance and actually start for us. Same for AJJ we need to start him at SF.

Our starting 5 should be ...

Dame
AJ Green
AJ Jackson
Tyler Smith
Giannis

2nd squad

Wright
GTJ
Prince
Portis
Brook

I bet this bench will be able to at least hold their own

Like this starting lineup. Doc doesn't have the guts to start Smitty but we really need to jumpstart the engine.

Would probably roll with Rollins over Delon. Neither can play the point but Rollins has that hungry demeanour.. Delon too passive

Probably has been answered already a million times but I simply cannot find the answer. If a trade gets us under the second apron, do the second apron rules in said trade not apply to us?
E.g. exactly the trade you mentioned. Is that legal?

The Jazz have Ainge, find dumber teams to trade with.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
