Flipping Randle for KAT is like taking a Ford Focus to the dealer and walking out with a Porsche 911 GT3 with no payments.

Straight robbery.

I had cursed Timmy a lot (irrationally) for causing us that #1 pick in the 2015 draft but I do hope he is okay.

That knee to the back of the head was sickening, and he was already probably rattled from the elbow to the face. I hope he'll be alright

I just went and looked. Some posters are talking about trading him. Here are the first three serious deals I saw proposed...

People won't like the idea, but I would look to Atlanta. A trade of Randle for Bogdanovic and Nance would be an interesting baseline. I honestly think we won't find many better options out there. Not ones where teams will value Randle as much, at least.

Same idea, different trade partner. Randle for Cam Johnson, Zaire Williams and Clowney

Julius Randle wrecks anything decent we have going on either end of the court.
We need to unload him soon if we want to have any shot at even making the playoffs this season.
Maybe washington will give us Valanciunas, Bagley, and the change in the couch cushions.

Thibs was able to mitigate Randle's CTE ball on defense. Those habits will take forever to reverse in Minny. They probably don't bother.

Donte has the Obi Toppin splits.... great as a starter, bleh as a bench player.

RJ Barrett.... is RJ Barrett.

IQ is sadly hurt.

Grimes finally hit a shot.

Raptors fans are struggling with processing their first foray into the real RJ Barrett. To RJ's credit, he managed to hide his illness very well after the trade last year, but this season he's lost all cover with injuries around him and he's back to full blown disease.

The Raps board feels that this is just a brief return of "NYC RJ", while they know Toronto RJ, and convincing themselves that the reality is somewhere in between. This despite "NYC RJ" having a sample size of 300 games, and Toronto RJ 30.

This summarizes why I hated Randle much of the time and why you can't win in the playoffs with a guy like that.

If we didn't love DDV as much as we did, I think it would've been looked at differently.
