... what? Tons of the board were talking about Scoot as a future star.
Are we writing him off after 92 career games?
Also I think more people wanted Miller, but I could be remembering wrong.
I don't remember what it was like here but on the general board and reddit Charlotte was almost immediately being clowned for making the wrong decision in picking Miller.
And I'm not gonna write of Scoot yet either, but I'd still rather have Gradey at this point
Yeah I cant say much about the Scoot v Miller discussion as I don't remember it, you might be right. As for Gradey over Scoot, I think it's much too early to say, but Scoot ain't looking great.

Not writing him off. Just that the clear doom and gloom of not getting him has definitely (and predictably) cooled.
I was more commenting about the future star bit. I can't speak for others, but the doom and gloom to me was the lack of a top pick and missing out on the Wemby sweepstakes, not so much Scoot himself. I was never a fan of drafting a guy based off g league stats, seemed like it could go either really well, or really bad, remains to be seen though.

Not yet but he's looking destined for the Dennis Smith Jr. career arc without a drastic change.
The only thing remotely positive and giving some semblance of hope is the 80%+ FT shooting.
Scoot was hyped pretty good heading into the draft year, he was the consensus #2 until Miller overtook him.
Agreed, it's not looking so hot, with any luck he gets traded somewhere else, I don't see Portland as a hot bed of development.
