Elfrid Payton (who was out of the league up until a couple days ago) had 21 assists tonight.

What happened to the nuggets? They look like one hit wonders. Hope we don’t fall into the same category but we shouldn’t.

Guess you weren't aware of what happened after they won a chip.
They let 2 key players leave after winning a chip.
Bruce Brown was a big reason why they won and they let him go in FA.
Jeff Green also played a key role off the bench and they also let him go.
And after losing to Ant in the playoffs, they let another starter, KCP, leave in FA.
When you let a key player/s leave after winning a chip, it will really have an effect on your chances of winning it again.
Wyc learned this the hard way after letting Posey leave, in 2008, just because they refused to give him that extra year worth 6m.

Jeff green was 36 years old man. Bruce Brown averaged 11.4 points per game. They can’t find someone to replace that?

Easier said than done.
Bruce Brown was the 6th man and really gave the Nugs a little of everything.
It was the perfect fit for Brown.
But he wanted more money.
Jeff also gave them a big wing who defended well and made open 3s.
Nugs were never the same after that 2023 chip.

Wyc and the Celts tried to replace Posey with Tony Allen and it didn't work out.
Allen just couldn't make 3s.

Losing Brown, Green and KCP was important but their bigger issue is that Jamal Murray has been awful. He's shooting under 40%, total. And also Aaron Gordon has missed 9 out of their 16 games which makes an already thin team even thinner.

The East teams did well today.
BKN over GSW
BOS over LAC
NYK over DEN
IND over NOP
Only one who lost was ATL vs. DAL.

Yeah, this season he's not great.
But last season Jamal was not bad.
Still lost to the Wolves in the semis.
Nugs really missed that boost off the bench from Bruce.

Just finished watching the Rockets-TWolves game. Houston won in OT. Udoka has done a fine job there. I wouldn’t call them great, but they are decent team. They have a poor man’s Jokic in Sengun, VanFleet, Brooks and lot of young talents. They are fun to watch.

Well, it looks like If I liked you in the draft, you get hurt. Both Bigs Zach Edey and Filipkowski are hurt. Edey has been out for a while.. And Indiana just doesn't have the same defense without Nesmith who has been out a month.

Last season, Spurs didn't get their 10th win until January 27. They got 10 two months earlier this season.
Last season, Pistons didn't get their 8th win until February 8. They already got 8 Ws before Thanksgiving.

Redick has a rookie, a geriatric, DLo, Reaves, and AD as a lineup expecting to get stops against the Suns big 3 lineup. It didn't go well.

Lakers coming back down to earth as they should. Still waiting on the warriors as well. These teams are done winning championships. Their time has passed.

To be fair, nobody here expects those teams to be in the finals this season.
