I gotta say it again, its insane the amount of luck we've had with players on opposing teams being out since Paolo has gotten injured

Not complaining, I'm so used to players coming back specifically to play against us that this is a nice change of pace

The same thing happened last year early in the season. Maybe it’s the new nature of the NBA. Or maybe players don’t want to get beat up against our physical team.

I think a mix of both

we're definitely benefitting overall defensively from the increase in physicality allowed due to changes in officiating

Might explain why our defensive rating is a good amount better than last seasons, which was already top 3

We have to beat NY anyway even if NY lost today so that game didn’t matter too much outside of point differential which they got nothing from.

If the Knicks lost today, it would have given us a chance to win the group with one loss, since the 1st tiebreaker is differential.

Either way it’d be nice to win them all to secure a home game in the cup quarterfinals.

I don’t think we would have been automatic winners. Even if they were 2-1 and we went 3-0, they would still have a chance to beat us in the last game because the first tiebreaker is head-to-head. If the scenario happens in reverse we would still have a chance to win against the Knicks next Tuesday.
