Why? I don't think it really matters lol. Does anyone care the Lakers won it last season?

It doesn't, but it's pretty damn frustrating nearly blowing the largest point differential in the league in a single game.

Of course it matters, it's a league wide tournament.

What’s disappointing about this game is that it’s one of the few in the early season which carry some actual stakes. It’s the best test for playoff readiness this early in a season. Can a team come in locked in and play playoff level basketball on demand?

Yeah we’re down guys, but that’s no excuse for how unprepared the rest of the team have looked. Young guys are excused. Our league best defensive backcourt wasn’t injured though and NY made a laughing stock out of them. WCJ, Isaac and Moe have had no answers for NY’s frontcourt which has no size outside of KAT.

This was a simple test of readiness: “just don’t lose by 30”. Magic did their damned lazy best to flirt with that all night. Nah, they need to reflect on that one. Sit and stew in the disappointment they cooked up for the last 48 minutes.

Proud of Thibs for resisting the temptation of playing his starters 45 minutes each.

Disappointing that it happened on National TV.

A letdown for The Magic after TNT dropped it and then re-added it.

At least The Magic are still alive for NBA Cup.

They are 12-1 in the last few weeks and lost to a better/elite team. Why?

You just answered it, and not only lost, but blown out, not showing up.

My guy you only do that when the team is losing against bad teams and struggling in general. This team after Paolo went down was expected to be at the bottom of the standings. They're currently the 3rd best team in the East and have been rolling.

Losing to an elite team on the road without your best player is to be expected. Given how bad the offense has been even during that stretch I'm not shocked that they got blown out.

Banish his ass to the trade block. We can pay league minimum to replicate his production.

I think we play the Bucks because they have the highest differential and therefore are the #1 seed and #1 play the wild card. I think.
