Dont worry man Magic have your favorite player Carter!

He’ll carry this roster now. No worries.

Deflecting doesn't stop your bad takes, lol.

Oh so you aren’t that confident then?

I’m sure we will watch Carter take the reigns now.

Haven’t seen any of your takes. Just defending **** players isn’t a take.

Crapping on the front office for not building a roster capable of sustaining months long injuries to their two best players is just silly.

There's not a single team in the NBA who could lose their best player and second best player for two months apiece and not be wildly impacted in a negative way.

This just sucks.... the only silver linings:
1) It's still relatively early in the season so the team will hopefully be intact and healthy by the all-star break
2) We're in the east so we can make the play-ins even if Paolo misses another 2-3 weeks
3) The FO is going to gain a bit of future cap space as Franz will not make an all-nba team

I would like to see Jett get some run but most likely going to be a lot of 3 guard lineups with Wendell/Goga out there. Orlando tends to be conservative with injuries so it’ll be interesting to see how much longer Banchero is out for.

Also we do not know how the team wil look without Franz and Paolo, we have an educated guess at best, so actually it's crapping preemptively. Lets see what happens in the next 2 weeks.

Paolo is expected to come after about 5-6 games, so we will still be above .500

I get the feeling we’re going to see a bunch of experimental lineups over the next couple of weeks. Suggs, Cole and Moe Wagner probably get first shot at taking over scoring. Jett will get some opportunity off the bench.

But man, this is going to be tough for the team. We just finished the softer run in our schedule and now we’re about to take on some actual playoff teams. I just hope the guys can keep spirits high and someone else breaks out next.

Suggs and KCP are the only vest winners outside of Paolo and Franz.

If the Wizards can beat the Nuggets, then we can win a couple games.

this is horrible. We need to make a trade. Get that Cole upgrade immediately. Start him, then move him to the bench once Paolo and Franz are healthy. **** is going to be brutal until Paolo comes back.

Paolo and Franz arent injury prone players. Its just bad luck it happened at the same time. Any team right now would be in the same situations as us of their 2 top offensive star players are hit. Look at PHI without Embiid and PG as exhibit A

Philly without Embiid and PG have Maxey and McCain nowhere close to their prime.

And look at their record... When you're that top heavy And 2 of your big 3 go down, and you don't really have depth/talent. Your team automatically becomes a mediocre/below average team.

Take away George and Embiid.... maxey's numbers even looked like a chucker 40% shooting and less than 30% on 3s... like suggs already without Paolo. luckily McCain was ready to go for them.

To be honest as people have said.... next man up. It might take a couple of games.... but i'm hoping that players rise to the occasion. It might seem farfetched cuz we lack so much right now.... but same way Franz moved from option 2 to Option 1AB someone can fill a bigger roll. Option f to D... whatever. Hope they get chance to try and just to make mistakes and grow from this point.

I am sad that franz is out..... but gotta look at the possible bright side. With Paolo coming back in possibly the near future... the path will be bumpy but hopefully something positive floats to the top. Black, Tristan, and Howard.... tis your chance to seize the opportunity... don't force anything... play within yourselves and explore what you can do. SUGGS.... figure out how to truly lead the team in some manner... might not be just scoring... but be a leader in these times.

This obviously sucks very much but there's a lot of emotional overreaction here.

It will be very difficult for us until Paolo gets back, but I don't want to count out this group. Things felt bad when Paolo went down but the team found their footing. Of course, the key player in that was Franz, but I don't believe we're going to see them just lay down. Once again, it represents an opportunity for guys to step up. They have earned some level of confidence from me that they can still find a way.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Jett has been trash all season, lol. Besides Franz and Paolo, and maybe Moe all these guys have been trash offensively.

People are pissed at the FO because we had the chance to get a PG to help run the offense but they didnt and now we have nobody to run our offense

Agreed. This is not the end of the world. The first few games will be rough, but I think this will be a great experience for some ready to be given a chance.

First of all what a f*** ????

I saw this thread popping yestarday and i thought somebody changed Banchero's title name. Just saw news on hoops hype 5 min ago.

We can point ouf Magic didn't have much offensive diversity even when both PB & FW are healthy, but most teams in nba, without two of their best players - suck. Look no further than Pelicans early on, Memphis last year, 76ers this year etc.

I don't even know what to say, i'm shocked. Same injury.

For last few weeks i couldn't help myself but think how we low key are somewhat lucky to lose Paolo over Franz because Franz is so much more versitale two way player and how team would probably play worst if Franz got hurt, and were we are... i guess theory will be tested. But first Paolo needs to retun.

Next 2-3 weeks won't be pretty, somebody has to step and make some shots, maybe it's time to play Jett Howard like he played in G league.

I love you guys but I'm glad those saying we should tank, make trades, etc. aren't running the team.

As has been said, the next few weeks will be a blip in a very long season. We have a cushion record-wise and play in a very forgiving conference.

And keep in mind: this season isn't make or break. Big picture, man.

The guys in the locker room aren't feeling sorry for themselves. Why should you?

This is Magic basketball. Let's get it.

Damn. That sucks. They won't tank or make trades. Which is OK. They shouldn't make a trade because of freak injuries, like those Ingram trade ideas here when Paolo got injured that didn't make sense when the team is healthy. They should have get a PG from the beginning, to take some load off of Franz & Paolo with or without the injuries.

In the East we still gonna be a play in team. I doesn't expect us to win anywhere close to our last 15 games when Paolo is back. The schedule is gonna be harder and Paolo is just not so impactful and rounded like Franz 2way game. But we should still win around 50% with him back. Knicks, Bucks, Miami and maybe Atlanta gonna overtake us till Franz is back.

Sucks, homecourt was so easy to get this year. But it's still early and maybe we go on a roll in the last 1-2 months with both and maybe a trade for a solid offensive contributor at the deadline.

Next 2 weeks gonna be ugly but still expect us to grind out a homegame here and there.
