Yup. He posted on the Raps forum. Also, Jonathan Givony posted as Cheezdoodle, when he was first out of University of Florida in the draft forum (before founding DraftCity).

Like I said they could offer a 2031 first and their first round draft pick from last year.

Dunn
Allen
Oneal
Nurkic

That gets them to 46M he makes 48M. Maybe the Heat look at it as two first rounders, like Allen and take the offer. They would probably have to find another big on the trade market or buyout market.

That would leave them with
Okogie
Plumlee
Morris
Tyrus

Still some depth there

Can't aggregate salaries

Googled to find out what you were talking about that 2nd apron rule is going to make it even harder for Butler to be moved. Lakers are 30k below so to me that makes them the most likely team even if the fit isn't ideal.

I sincerely doubt the HEAT would trade Jimmy to Milwaukee. Also, for what package?

right, but again, this is where i wonder what exactly Butler is really worth at this point in his career? Maybe I'm wrong but I cant really see teams lining up to give up major pieces to acquire him at his age.

Teams will, and if they don't, we'll just keep him. He's not being a problem, he just wants to go somewhere where he can get paid.

Right! Plus the fact that he’s been injured and hasn’t played 65 games since he was in CHI kept the minutes off the odometer too, so I expect an injury-free, 82 game season!

Oops, he’s already missed five games already. But they kept miles off the odometer!

Yep. It wasn’t meant to be a knock on him or anything. It’s just wild to pretend that Steph hasn’t had a great amount of help for most of his career.

I wasn’t saying he hasn’t had help. I was talking about the Warriors drafting Wiseman and Kuminga instead of trading them for veterans. Eventually the Warriors did trade Wiseman for Gary Payton II, but by that time his trade value had decreased.

With Lebron teams you typically see them get rid of young players and draft picks for veterans.

To be fair, you listed three players and the Warriors traded two of them. And the other one is probably going to get traded soon.

Yep, him and Bryan Colangelo, though BC was…a little more circumspect.

Jimmy Butler trying to dictate which team has the privilege of trading for him and then signing him to a max contract LMAO.

He should be thankful Miami still owes him $100 million this year and next.

Who was Shams on the Raps board? I know there was a Bulls mod with a username Shams who even had his own website, but I'm pretty sure that's someone else.

The one on the Chicago board was Mark Deeks. I have to think about what the others Shams name was. I don't recall it off the top of my head at the moment, sorry to say.

The guy has a proven track record.

Miami isn't in the 2nd Apron so they can still aggregate salary. It's the Suns who can't aggregate salaries.

May very well be true if not for the fact that he played under Thibs for like 5 seasons which is like equivalent to 7 seasons under most other coaches. Not to mention he has a crap ton of miles from the postseason.

Shams and Woj are/were two of the very best. If they got it wrong, it's more than likely because things things are extremely fluid or teams/players/agents are trying to play games. When Shams puts something out there and backs it up by saying he's vetted that information, I tend to believe him

Miami isn't in the 2nd Apron so they can still aggregate salary. It's the Suns who can't aggregate salaries.

Doesn't really matter seeing that since MIA is over the first apron and PHX is over the second, the salaries of all involved have to match - TO THE PENNY - and that's not happening. MIA can't take back anything over what's being sent out and PHX can't take any more in.

All this is moot and a dead end and that's where it should end. Even if they were to get a third team involved to help make it more plausible, it's still largely pointless.

There is a path with Butler/Richardson for Beal but it largely hinges on Beal's NTC and I suppose draft capital

Seems reasonable...

So apparently Butler has dyed his hair Suns orange.
