The team Ball movement would go up so much. and everyone "eats" better. So much better watching than Brown dribbling and creating so much for himself. Then Tatum takes his turn. I also feel without Brown Tatum's game would rise exponentially. His scoring and passing would make a definite jump. Size rebounding and improved spacing would be a WET dream for Joe.

You guys can disagree But I am so Sold on this.

Make it happen Brad!

Yes let’s trade the Finals MVP for a guy who’s never played a playoff game in his life ..

What a great idea !

Boston has traded a final's MV.P before for the betterment of the team. And of course , they went on to have one of the greatest teams ever after, look it up.

Problem here is disrupting locker-room chemistry. If you're going to trade Brown, it'd need to be for someone widely perceived as better (so that the rest of the team can digest the move).

It's moot because it's not happening.

And if the Cs repeat, it's a no-brainer the Cs will keep the Jays until the next decade.

You’re trading the better player who has proven it in the playoffs for the lesser player who’s never sniffed the playoffs.

What are we even talking about ?

A better player is highly debatable. And even if that is what you would base your argument on my argument is all things combined such as financial and better fit.

It’s actually not.

We are truly a 9 deep rotation at this point:
Ball Handlers: White, Holiday, Pritchard
Wings: Tatum, Brown, Hauser
Bigs: Porzingis, Horford, Kornet

Very lucky to have 3 at each position going forward.

That leaves Queta, Tillman, Scheierman, Walsh and Springer, along with our 2- ways Peterson, Watson and Davison.
10 thru 15 roster pieces.
(10) I believe that Queta is a rotation piece when one of the other bigs are out.
(11) Tillman is being groomed for eventual rotation, but he needs to earn it. Seems like he has taken a step back so far this season.
(12) Walsh is still just 20 years old, so he also gets a pass. He is gaining some minutes that are not just during garbage time though.
(13) This is Scheierman's first year as a pro so he gets a pass. He is showing out in the G-League though.

I know these next two are 2-way guys, but I have them both ranked higher that Springer.

(14) I am liking what I see in Peterson, and at 6'9 with a three-point shot he could be a nice future bench piece.
(15) Watson is showing some good numbers in the G-League and could also be a nice future bench piece.

That leaves Springer and Davison.
Springer is a defensive pest, but his offensive game just is not coming through. I know it is not something to worry about being the 13th-14th man, but a 4 mil if he can be moved, he should be, as long as we don't attach a valuable 2nd round pick with him. I would rather just let him walk at the end of the season, but knowing Brad, he will probably get a future first in return for him. LOL
Seriously though, of all the players making less than 4 mil this year, one of them would be available for Springer straight up.

Davison is great in the G-league, but it just is not transferring over to the big leagues. Considering this is his last time on a 2-way with us, he might need to be released. Maybe Brad should sigh him to the open 15th roster spot, wait the necessary time, and then trade him.

Too many variables at this point in time.

Celtics with Jaylen Brown just went 16-3 in the playoffs. That's good for the 10th best post season winning percentage in NBA history. It is also the best post season winning percentage the Celtics have ever had! The only other time this century that a team has won the title with 3 or less losses were the Kobe Shaq Lakers in 2000-2001 and the KD Warriors in 16-17.

Yes and that makes having JB a good thing. Can't argue that. And AGAIN, I say I have no problem with anyone who believes keep JB is the better move. But my thinking isn't trading Brown because he is a bad Fit. But rather getting a player like Lauri, who has been lost in the land of Tank-ville, would make this team even more formidable. I am not going to rewrite all the reasons as to why I believe this. Especially since it is 95% not going to happen. (Though stranger things have happened)

Carry on Gents. But 19 better come... otherwise the meanie in me will return.

Always hard to combine picks and move up. But....

San Antonio has 4 picks already, but you could do something like 29 and our 2026 for their Hawks pick - currently 18? They're already rooting for our future picks anyways. We get 18ish and keep 31.

Or the Jazz' MIN pick currently at 14, but assumedly will go lower. They already have CLE pick but back to back picks is fun and they'd have their own (3rd), 29, 30 and pick up a 2026 pick. I think I remember Danny liking picks... Depends on how high the Wolves climb / how low their pick goes.

Or going the opposite direction and target teams without a ton of picks already. Maybe ATL wants extra shots rather than their single LAL pick (17 now). 29,31, 2026 pick for 17 & their Wolves 2nd (44)?
