Basically, if Jeff didn't draft Salaun and instead took Clingan or another productive prospect, I'd have a very different perception of him.

It would have been pretty fun if we could have had our 6 pick Center injured at the same time as Nick and Mark.

I know it's a gamble, but I suddenly see the appeal of Lonzo Ball in a Hornets uniform. After all the setbacks, his defense is still something to behold. People saying Cooper Flagg can't have AD-level impact on D just because he isn't a seven-footer, go look up tape of healthy Lonzo playing D.

The procedure they did on his knee was pretty remarkable, and it appears he’s playing with total confidence using it. I’d welcome doing this, although with every good game Lonzo’s appeal to Chicago and his price rise.

I think there is a pretty good chance Lonzo is eventually a Hornet, but I'm not sure if it happens this season.

edit: As long as he can stay healthy and still play defense with his new knee I think it would be good to have him on this team. I'm assuming he won't be dunking like he used to anymore, but as long as he can still move his feet his game should still be pretty effective.

Hey all. Laker fan here, come In peace haha. Wasn't sure where to post this, Someone quoted me about Nick Richards a while back as I'm keen on Richards becoming a Laker <> think he needs a new team? ... This person said you guys as fans hate Richards and curious to know why If true??

Is the asking price of Richards still 1 or 2 2nd round pics?
Would a Cam/JHS 2 2nd's get Richards or something like that?? just to get the maths to work.

The Hornets shouldn't trade Richards for 2nds, but he does have some haters on here and many posters here probably would if it was up to them. There were probably just as many people on here who hated PJ Washington and would have traded him for a 2nd round pick. There are still people on here who talk about PJ like hes a garbage tier player.

Pretty mixed opinions on Richards around here.
Some think he is a fine backup, others think he is a losing player.

Personally, 2 2nd round picks does nothing for me. we already have 14 future 2nds over the next 7 drafts. Adding two more doesn't really put us in any better position, except now we are forced to sign a new backup center in FA next year who will likely be more expensive than Richards at 5 million.

I would be more interested in Lakers 2028 1st round swap.

I don't see any realistic way a second or two matches the production of Richards. He's first round draft pick talent and has been the only big on the roster showing reliable availability

Only way I see him being traded is as a sweetener in a package with Miles or Micic or whatever for someone of value.

Odd to turn a question about Richards into a rant about Washington tho

I **** on nick more than most. But I'm not moving him for two 2nds. Unless we can consolidate 2nds for some 1sts, I don't see the point. We can't trust Mark. diabate is awesome but can't score, Grant is a question mark next year.

Richards is valuable, and on a great contract, so I don’t deal for 2nds. Given our needs I don’t trade him unless the deal is overweighed in our favor.

I hear ya, but not sure I’d deal Miles for any of those deals. Was higher on Whitmore but Miles is better. Ausar is a good athlete but just brick city. Robinson is below average…like Jaquez but not sure the Heat make that swap. Not sure I would either. But yes, a Miles trade could be THE impact move for the right player.

My above trade was with Nick Smith, not Richards.

I view it as trading Miles + fillers for Zion.

Zion if he ever gets in shape would be the best player on the team. Obviously that's a big if (pun intended).
