In true Sixer fashion, this team can’t win correctly or lose correctly. Terrible.
always a jump shot away.

Despite our struggles this season, Charlotte is the one team we've owned for a while now. Also, I'm sure they were motivated to win this one for the rook.

Regular season = Charlotte Hornets
Playoffs = Brooklyn Nets

Let’s say that somehow they scratch and claw their way back to .500 by the end of the season. Then let’s say they get through the play in.

They aren’t winning a playoff round against CLE or BOS or even ORL (should they somehow grab a top 2 seed).

Sixers aren’t going to have cap again for years so they aren’t impressing any FAs just by competing. Plus almost everybody in the rotation is locked up more than one year.

So… what are they trying to accomplish here? 32 wins and giving away the ninth pick?

Paul George is a top candidate.

Then it will be a depressing offseason. First, we’re giving up a late lottery to mid 1st. Then, with the restrictions of the new CBA, I’m guessing we won’t have much flexibility to improve. Before you know it, it’s the 2025-2026 season, and we’re asking the same question all over again: “Will Embiid be healthy?”

It depends on which version of Embiid we get. If we can get the healthy Embiid that dropped 70 on Wemby, then we can beat anybody. But we know we're not going to get that version of Embiid based on our history & luck.

The Sixers have 8 wins this season and 3 of them are against the Hornets

This truly needs to be the last year the hornets tank. Unlike Detroit they've actually drafted star talent

The foundation in which this current team is built upon is a non winner superstar. Shaky for sure. Lamelo will never take them anywhere as the main guy.

We’re playing the hornets again next game.

A rivalry might be brewing

The assumption must be made, starting right now and going forward, that Embiid will only be available 50% of the time and will be beat up and at a fraction of himself the times he is available. This includes the playoffs.

I want this team to tank. But with a "somewhat" healthy and rested Embiid this team can beat anyone in the East, Anyone! Except for Boston.

It blows my mind why anyone who loves the Sixers could be rooting for them to win right now.

And even more that the actual plan is to compete. Waiting for the big Morey deadline trade that empties the cupboard for a DFS type. Might as well put the final nails in the coffin.

Well they are 2 games out of competing, playoffs. Also we have stars that are old as my great great great grandfather. I do hope Morey doesn't make a trade at all but that's not in my power.

When your in the playoffs with the current age of this team, you have a chance. That's all you can ask for at this point. I do know what your thinking about draft picks and such, but as fans we can look at that, as players they want to win. They are too good and too old to tank, so it is what it is.

We are mediocre right now, which is the most horrible a place that any sports team in the world can be.
