Cade Cunningham great game but bricked a three that could have iced it.

More proof that minutes per game has no relation to injuries. **** can happen to anyone at anytime. It's all bad luck imho.

Pace of the game may have more impact to these injuries than the minutes. :(

Hawks are so unpredictable. Whooped the Wolves. The Wolves now 14-14 on a 3 game skid.

Ant man is having a tough time as teams are scheming against the wolves lack of spacing.

Really never understood the discussion between Randle and KAT. Both of them aren't great on defense but KAT is so much better on offense it was never really close.

When the Wolves were sitting on top of the western conference last season and made it to the WCF I was telling everyone that there is zero chance the Wolves would consider trading Towns. It was super obvious to me that the elite shooting by Towns was essential to their offense---I was shocked they traded their second best player after making the WCF after 20+ years. But I guess sometimes miscalculations just happen.

I mean with McDaniels-Randle-Gobert.....that frontline is really a below average shooting frontline in the modern NBA. How can it be a surprise that they have spacing issues?

But let's give them some additional time as well. I can still picture them getting to that 6th seed in the west but it is certainly not looking good right now.

They are done. You are not winning anything with a lazy stat padding schizophrenic moron who refuses to play defense as a main piece. Outside of Ant, they are weak.

KATs defense is miles ahead of Julius. A lot of playing defense can be mitigated by effort even when the skill is lacking. Make an effort. Julius stands around hoping to get rebounds without boxing out. or covering his man at all. Then he walks up and down the court waiting to get the ball instead of hustling for it. He's trash. Bench big getting starter minutes he doesn't deserve.

After 5 years of watching him the results are in. He's lazy. Low IQ. Selfish. I would not be surprised if they trade him in the next few months. They need to get him out of there. That HC is just as bad. Fire everyone and trade Randle! Sound familiar? Randle for Batum plus picks!

I generally agree with what you are saying but I'd still give them some time. I mean we were pretty successful in december and January last year with Mitch/Hart at C and Randle at the 4 and OG at the 3. I think OG/Randle/Hart (Mitch) is comparable to McDaniels/Randle/Gobert so I think there is still some opportunity there.

Next to the spacing issues they also have Conley and DD not shooting well. They have many issues right now. I still think they are gonna be better than what they are right now.

Mitch never played with OG/Randle. Mitch went down December 5th. We were successful after the OG trade but, prior to that we 17-15.

I don't need to give them time. I have seen Randle play for 5 years. He is what he is. That team is in trouble if they try to win with him as a main piece. It doesn't fit right now and it probably never will. They may be better than .500 but, probably not much. 48 wins and a first round exit is their ceiling.

Basically the difference in opinion on Randle between us is miniscule. I agree on their current ceiling being 48wins and first round (maybe if Edwards has a Jordan-like series they could pull out a first round 7 game series.). So there is that.

I do however disagree with a general black and white sentiment that implies that any basketball team is better without Randle. I myself never liked playing with guys like Randle because ball movement was an element I always thought was most important on the basketball court. I do however think Randle can contribute---like he did in december and january to a winning team in a major way. Definitely not as a first option--maybe not even as a clear cut second option, but definitely as a good contributor. I do however think the team around him has to minimize his weaknesses and needs to be build in a certain way. Randle with a Mitch-Gobert type Center will always be an iffy fit. He needs a rim protector next to him that is a solid shooter (think Myles Turner type) as well. These type of players are still rare. Then the other thing is that he shouldn't be a primary or even secondary ball handler or shot creator on your team. Unfortunately his ego demands a role that he is not really suited for and he seemingly is not going to self-reflect and correct that and that will be his ultimate downfall.

But overall I'm happy not to have to worry about Randle and his antics anymore. I'm just totally enjoying our quick smart passing, good decision-making team and selfless play. There is no I-need-to-get-my-numbers type of guy that sacrifices team play for stats. Everyone seems truly most willing to have an off night on offense and score only 10points while feeding the hot hands. Just great character guys that know their roles and accept things. It is always so much more enjoyable to see high IQ basketball.

I'm really thankful for what Leon and his team built here. Just so crazy to think where the Knicks were prior to the pandemic season.

Merry christmas everyone.
