Too many TO, ANT being dominated by SGA. Was a good game overall, OKC is impressive. And we know we still not there. Some lessons to learn tonight.

Do you see how he's guarded? Then he has to pass to guys like Jaden and Rudy

Re: Game 30: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Oklahoma City Thunder
You cannot watch the 3rd quarter and say we are a well coached team. Spacing is awful, guys standing around, no off ball screens, no game plan for the pressure defense. Not enough timeouts as they go on a 22-3 run to put the game out of reach. Even our defense was sloppy with open 3 after open 3 once they got us in the spin cycle. Basketball is a 48 minute game and you cannot collapse for 12+ and expect to beat a good team, much less an elite team.
Ant is being taken out of the equation, but the spacing isn’t allowing us to capitalize on it. Guys should be in constant motion not camped out in the corners or on the perimeter. Some of this is Ant’s fault, but a lot of it is everyone else’s fault.

That 3rd quarter was absolute coaching malpractice. Just awful.
Gobert blows easy dunk. Transition 3
Awful Randle turnover. breakaway dunk.
Turnover. Transtion 3
Turnover. Transition 3.
10 point lead erased in 4 possesions.
What does Finch do?
Call timeout? Chew them out? Get another ballhandler out there to settle things down?
Nope.
He inserts NAW at PG and takes his best on ball defender Jaden McDaniels out of the game.
Guess what, turnover problem gets much much worse and SGA goes crazy after being kept pretty well in check.
ABSOLUTE COACHING MALPRACTICE.
If Rob Dillingham can't crack the rotation and we don't trade for another decent PG, this team is absolutely cooked.
OKC is at about 75% and couldn't have shot worse in the first half.
We should have won this game if the team and coaches had any BBIQ at all.
Just atrocious.
And Rudy Gobert has been mediocre to bad all season long and I'm getting really really tired of it.
He is so completely unskilled it sucks so much fun out of watching the games watching him suck so spectacularly every time he touches the ball.
That extension is looking like a horrible decision.

Dilly has an ankle issue. Even if he was available he wasn’t healthy.

I don't know about this. Embiid, Luka and Lebron are in the league.

Finch does need to work on the timing of his TO’s. The funny thing is is he was using them to stop runs in the first half in effective ways. What the hell was he thinking in the 3rd quarter?
I’m still pro Finch. He has the best record in Wolves history. Let the season play out.
The haters act like we can fire him and hire Eric Spoelstra with the snap of a finger.
The over the top Finch hate needs to stop imo.

It was a very winnable game today. Wolves keep playing into the Thunders hands. Just a couple less dumb turnovers may had changed the out come. The way OKC plays D is vulnerable to low post ups but we didn't do enough of it. Other than Naz who got a few spin hooks. Seems like Randle also doesn't like to get the ball low either. Not enough pass to Gobert and he also had a bad game. Making it worse when SGA had a monster game. Overall, not a bad effort but could had won.

I do not understand the comments on SGA whistle. Yes he got help from refs as got all superstars in the league. The day ANT stop to act stupid and stop speak bad with the refs every single games, he will got more FT as well. SGA is a top 5 players already when ANT is a top 20. Difference between a contender team and a good one is also there.

It’s not hate if it’s accurate. We keep seeing the same issues every game. At some point it needs to change or we need to make a change.

Yes, he wasn't the problem and was fairly good. Just quicker pass and more accurate pass would be great

Exactly. Worst franchise in NBA history, but the guy has a 177-142 record as the Wolves coach. Pretty damn good.

Re: Game 30: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Just finished the game a little bit ago…what in the world happened in the 3rd??
After two baskets I was looking at Finch wondering what he was waiting for. It went from up 12 to down double digits in the blink of an eye. Was Finch trying to prove a point to the players about listening or something?
First time where I was really thinking it’s time for him to go. Also, Ant has a long way to go and idk if he’ll ever get there. Especially with Finch at the helm.
Yes, the spacing is poor but you’d think he would’ve learned how to manipulate the defense a little better by now. I’m starting to wonder if he’s a true number one or the perfect number two…

This is my take too. Clean it up on the next time we face them and we have a chance. I see it as a moral victory. When they went down big they didn't give up and chipped on the lead. No quitting.

Why should you get called based on how well liked you are by the referees?
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
