Look for teams with expendable vets on expiring contracts.

Without looking at rosters I already know GS, Houston, and Brooklyn fits that bill surely more

Houston had already leaked that they are not interested in trading for Butler. The only teams have been Warriors, Mavs and Suns.

Trade machine addict. Oh gawd you are trying to OD on purpose.

What’s wrong with the trade machine? Players get traded all the time. You thought we weren’t doing anything and Bryant got traded like the next day you said that.

The 3rd best player in franchise history just requested a trade from my favorite team, yes I’m going to see what they can do. Don’t act like you weren’t pushing for CJ and Herb just yesterday lmao. You’re guilty too

Who cares it was a trade to free up space to add a player. It’s ok to have differing opinions

Three team trade with GSW and NOP?

It’d be nice to get Wiggins, but Zion as a buy extremely low candidate would be worth the risk too. How depressed is his value?

Different circumstances, but reminds me of when the Spurs had that ugliness with Kawhi that transpired. Even the better franchises aren’t immune from this stuff.

And players do not get traded as often as yall think and as nearly as often as yall want like every week yall want a the heat to make a trade. I was telling you the Heat wasnt making a move to improve the team until the Butler situation was dealt with. The Bryant trade didnt have no improvements to the team.

They can keep Kuminga and Podz, this is a type of deal we need. Expiring vets, a good role player and picks

I agree. GSW looks like the leader just for the sheer expendable contracts, picks, and potential need to go all in for Curry at minimal cost

I would accept salary cap relief at this point with nothing added. Give me Ben Simmons and filler and you've got a deal.

We could sit Jimmy, but that's going to be an ugly look. Better to just be done with it today.

I legit was just looking at that exact trade. Ben Simmons and DLo and give them Duncan and Jimmy and call it a day at this point. Idk if that even works but both those guys are expiring as well.

Again, I reiterate, f*ck I’m glad fans don’t run this team :o

Toxicity isn't worth the 1st round picks ... assuming those were ever really available for Jimmy at this stage.

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run

And every potential trade partner smells the blood in the water.

The Bryant trade freed up much needed cap space to get away from the 2nd apron that allowed them to sign a potential of up to two players. One became Keshad Johnson and the other is TBD. It’s been made clearly obvious to the world that this most likely ends up in trade. If he sits out without getting traded you should play the lottery. It was also clearly obvious Bryant or J Rich needed to be traded due to the fact there were only 600k away from the 2nd apron. But you knew for certain nothing was going to happen. There’s no Keshad signing and there’s zero chance at filling the last roster spot without that trade.

We’re coming out of the Jimmy fiasco with a starting lineup of:

Fox
Herro
Wiggins
Zion
Bam

Iv been saying the Heat should of traded Butler since he announced he was opting out. But I get it, because teams were more focused on adjusting to the new CBA and probably still in that transition period which may be why its heading to hoping he walks this summer and no trade happens.

Shams was right since day one. Warriors make the most sense with our backs against the wall deal.

We are not going to gamble on Zion unless he’s free. What might happen is Ingram sent here but even that seems out of the question cause he wants Butler’s 50 million. We don’t want to swap Butler’s contract for another 50 million. We want out of the tax by a good margin. They’ll use the expiring of Rozier and Duncan next year for someone that comes open.

Go read up on Zions contract. Probably the best written deal in the league. None of his contract is guaranteed unless he plays and produces. Heat can kick the tires on him for a year and a half and just let him walk. His potential is worth it given our approach towards 2026.

He’s getting traded because he’s made it a point of no return situation. Bridges are officially burned. He’ll decide his fate with new team at end of the year. It won’t be us. Agents and team owners around the league will make something happen for a player of Butler’s magnitude. This is Jimmy phucking Butler not some random expiring low salaried player on his last leg.

Watch for Embiid to try and get PG sent out to a 3rd team to get his boy Jimmy back.

We will see. But youve been hinting about how big the new CBA was to teams. And teams have been moving very cautiously except for the Suns.
