Kizz gonna quote me in may/June and say that we got fooled once again but still thankful we got a great (not perfect) FO.

Kizz doesn’t post much lately because he can’t complain about Sam doing a bad job. We are very fun to watch even if we don’t win the chip. Bad luck can ruin any championship run and here we are with all the bad luck in the world and still on top. But I still think we need a pf that can shoot and play defense.

Yeap. Good results doesn’t mean that we don’t have any room for improvement.
I still stand by the few I mentioned elsewhere.
Backup ballhandler
Someone else who gets points easily
3 point shooting threat
Size at the big spot
Obviously other than Dieng really hard to find other salary matching pieces. In spite of what I mentioned earlier we need make a move to convert Ajay to a full contract sooner or later.

feel like you are describing Poku. Bring the thin towers back.
obviously just kidding, I do agree with what u mentioned. A big with size is less a concern to me because if we need some size it's because are in big trouble already with either Chet or Hartenstein injured but I wouldn't mind an improvement over Jwill.

I have no clue what will happen with the Miami pick but it's a lot of fun for us.

I think the Philly pick is more interesting. It could be a top 10 pick this year. Miami's pick is lottery protected this year and I don't see them bottoming out next year even if they trade Butler. LAC pick has a slim chance of ending up being a lottery pick this year.

Outside of shai, our offense is lacking.

Kinda obvious. With both Chet and IH , Poku can slide over to SF and fulfil the destiny. The long thin shooting big man from OKC past coming back to bring us to the title .

We have to be lucky to have a bench like we have. Look at the minutes of the Knicks starting Five. All over 40 minutes played, because they have no bench. (2 meaningful injuries on each side)(McBride+Robinson and Chet+Caruso). To go down from +14 to -10 in about the last 12 minutes says a lot.
Additional it was with Wiggins a bench player who decided the game.

Re: 2024-2025 OKC Thunder Games Thread
oh well probably much noise about nothing but since OKC was mentioned...is Cam Johnson the missing piece? Is it worth giving up Isaiah Joe or Aaron Wiggins (and future flexibility from those small contrats) ?
I wouldn't include Wiggins or Joe even if I understand the argument to do it. Those good contracts are very valuable and Joe has great chemistry with our team despite his flaws. Wiggins is really really good and can fit in any series. I guess I would pull the trigger on some Kenrich/Dieng/Topic (and whatever pick) package.

I think consistency from J Dub and a healthy Chet are all we are really need. I have a hard time believing whatever Dieng, Jones, Topic and a few picks will get us is much better than what we already have out on the floor when healthy.

of course but this is kind of the argument to get a guy like Cam Johnson. I'm not his biggest fan to be honest and I think being a difference maker in OKC is way more difficult than playing well for the current Nets but Dieng is a bust, I have no clue how we will be able to develop Topic and even if we have to give up a guy like Kenrich, I don't see his on court value for us anymore.
We are already pretty good and we gonna need to develop some chemistry with the Chet/Hartenstein line up and minutes (and hopefully a bit more of Caruso too) so losing Joe or Wiggins would hurt us short and long term IMO but other than that I'm fine with whatever Presti does with our other bench players and picks.

I would give up Joe for some positional versatility.
I think Kenrich stays cause he fits on a lot of roles for the team. I’m not sure where I stand on Jaylin long term.

Re: 2024-2025 OKC Thunder Games Thread
I would give up Joe, Dieng and two of our three 2025 picks (don‘t have the rosterspots anyway).
Johnson will provide Size, volume shooting and shot making. Figure out the financial issues later, get the title now.
Shai - Wallace
Dort - Caruso
JDub - Wiggins
Johnson - KWill
Chet - Hartenstein
This is a championship roster

Why is it a big game? It's a game to get film on a potential Finals opponent, but nothing more. The Thunder are so far ahead in the West, as expected, that this game is irrelevant in the standings. They should be trying things out that they want to see how Boston reacts because there is the potential for big games between these teams in the future, like the Finals.

Hartenstein doing his best but he isn't as quick as Chet.

I'm pissed we are losing but it's kind of a good thing long term. We are struggling lately and our record is just hidding it.
