How about the second part.... do you think a lot of these guys are tuning out their agents. If Jimmy's main priority is another max contract you'd think the best option would not be to limit himself to a small list (or even only one) team. You'd think his agent would advise him of that, right? So are players tuning their agents out or getting bad advice.
Unless of course agent has already reached out and confirmed one team (Suns) are the only team willing to give Jimmy the money he wants.
Jimmy's agent probably has an illegal deal worked out with the Suns.

Yeah you’re right I forgot about that and then when asked about the availability issues by Ira Jimmy said Pat was right. That he would try to play the most games possible,
The main thing is Jimmys upset about the contract and is using old stuff to justify his current chity behaviour.
And that's it, right there. It's not like Riley said anything Jimmy, himself, didn't agree with. He just wanted to see Jimmy follow through and play. Now Jimmy is all up in his feels because Riley was trying to let him play before extending him. And it's not even like Jimmy want going to get a penny next year. Dude has a $50 million option!
So to recap, Riley says play more and we'll extend you.
Jimmy agrees.
Jimmy them changes his mind and demands out.
Am I missing something here?
My impression is ...
1. Jimmy's agent asked that he be moved.
2. The Heat said they'd listen to offers.
3. Jimmy got upset because he thought the Heat were dragging their feet on a deal and started acting out.
That's just the vibe I get, but it sounds right to me.

Jimmy: I usually make em (shrugs).
Bam: Well make them then.
Bam is getting on people to make their shots? While shooting like 40%?
I figured that would be a comment, and as I wrote it I thought maybe Bam wouldn't have had the guts to call him out like that given his struggles. I can't find the video, fairly sure it was posted in this forum alongside a comment like "Bam clearly doesn't want to answer these questions" or "You can tell Bam is frustrated" or something like that.

At this point I don't think he's any better than Herro and I don't really see how they'd compliment each other. Beal really can't play SF either. I guess if Heat figure a motivated Beal with an extra year is better than demotivated Jimmy then maybe they make the deal? It would pretty much kill all flexibility and I don't think Bam or Herro have enough upside paired with Beal to be an elite team in the East.
Ingram is the guy that intrigues me. 27 years old and longer wingspan and standing reach than anyone on Heat's roster other than Ware.
But what is New Orleans motivation for making a deal? They are 7-30 and headed for the lottery. What does Jimmy do for them?

Re: 2024-25 Regular Season Thread Vol. 3
Would a trade of Jimmy to Spurs for Zach Collins, Harrison Barnes and Julian Champagne plus probably one small contract work (ideally with a pick, but who knows). All three guys have two years contracts.
Zach Collins is barely in the Spurs line-up but would give us a big that can (or at least could) shoot and has size. He could be a Meyers Leonard.
Harrison Barnes is still only 32, just does good things and can shoot efficiently from the perimeter.
Julian Champagnie has been signed by Miami and played for Skyforce before, we must like him a little. He has a team option 3rd year for 3 mill, and has been playing well for Spurs so could be a cheap rotation player to keep if we went for a De'Aaron Fox or something in 2 years and needed to keep a wing for cheap.
Jimmy, for all the drama he's brought later, does raise the young guys up, give them confidence, build their work ethic and guides them with his eye for the game. I could see him being helpful to Wembanyama and some of the other guys. I could see Spurs wanting him.
If I understand cap rules, they are still that teams over the cap, but under tax thresholds can take on 125% in salary, which this about meets (we might need to take on someone like Sidy Cissoko or Charles Bassey), but it would save us like 8 or 9 mill in cap, I assume with a trade exception that could mean the ability to trade for another role player, take on a bought out player or something.

Re: 2024-25 Regular Season Thread Vol. 3
I have a question for the board about the owner of the Suns whose owner went all in on KD just a little less than 2 years ago at age 34, is KD the window and if so, in the next 3 years which 3 are a better fit to try to win a championship the next 2 1/2 years?
KD, Booker and Beal
or
KD, Beal and Butler
Not saying they're trading Booker for Butler (unless Miami wants to send draft assets to get Phoenix to do this) but could they trade Booker to get a haul that they send those playrs to Miami and Phoenix gets Butler + draft assets? Is it possible Miami is waiting it out for Phoenix to possibly do something like this?
If Phoenix doesn't get over the hump this year, they may have to consider moving KD for way less than they gave up and could still be stuck with Beal's contract. BTW... KD has 1 more year left on his contract and could just leave.

I don't think NO would be interested. Just saying Ingram as a player intrigues me.

Best show on TV. Little trashy, but twists and turns and very well acted. Writing seems a bit off though. Like, we've seen this before in:
Minnesota Butler Chit Show
Not fresh writing...

There's this new reality drama series called Trouble In Paradise and it's set in Miami. The plot centers around a Herro trying to save the day amid growing turmoil between the faction's old leader and a traitor who turned his back on his people to chase the money. Who will blink first? Can we be saved? I've been hooked on this new show but not sure when the finale will air, I'm hoping by this next week. Stay tuned!
Dexter Original Sin just started with like 5 episodes and is pretty good as well...
