Joel will ask for a trade this offseason, no worries
Question is: What will we get for him and if he can prove a little this season he's healthy enough to warrant to give something for

I hadn't been following his injury closely but this is crazy McCain is done. Did anyone see this coming?

It doesn't come as a surprise to me. I think we've all learned what happens when you rush a guy back from a meniscus tear. Obviously it effects each player differently, but they're clearly playing it safe with McCain. I just wish we could have got to see more than a few games out of him. He was definitely a bright spot for the team.

Re: I'm so ready for this era of Sixers basketball to end and start the next chapter
I am ready for a new start if only so I can complain and argue about new **** lol.
The reality is that the team simply made too many wrong choices (some of which I also would have made mind you) and Biid's body can no longer mask said mistakes in the regular season.
Should have never drafted Jah. SHould have never made Ben a PG. Should have never traded up for Fultz. Should have ran it back with Jimmy. Should have never signed Horford. Should have fired Brett sooner. Should have never hired Doc. Should have traded Ben sooner. Should have never traded for Harden...but then also should have no let him walk in retrospect lol. Should have never punted a season. Should have never signed PG. And while its one of those things you gotta do to save face...should have never extended Biid.
Lot of that is is in hindsight TBF but still if you changed like one of those...it could have had a weird butterfly effect and we could have at least gone further.
BUT we didn't and it is what it is lol. Despite it all, I constantly say that the fact that we are even allowed to be let down and mad isn't the end of the world. I remember the Eddie Jordan era man... there was no hope and we have to lie to ourselves that our 13-16th pick would totally be a superstar (ironically we have probably been a lot better at that range lately lol) and that we could Detroit 03 our way to a chip. We have been in the mix of "legit" championship contention for a while now...could be a lot worse.
But yeah its over. Biid can't even play a week without injury. Maxey needs a guy to play off of. And PG is a glorified 3-D guy in a bad slump. Its done. They are too good to tank sadly but again I'd be threatening Presti's family to get that pick back rn as I expect Morey to step down, Nurse to go play in a **** band and for Biid to retire this offseason...so regardless if its lottery or not, going to need to kickstart the rebuild.

Fultz or walker pickup and trade for PF with picks. Still win now for me and adding young pieces along the way. I aint trading embiid I sint doing no Hinkie bs again.

Why would we do that when we have Yabusele? The team needs more of a traditional point guard.

Absolutely. If the goal is to remain competitive. I don't know why we we didn't go after Fultz or Walker or both. Truly baffled by the Gordon and Jackson additions when those two were available. It's not too late to add one of them. Inquire about Jalen Smith. He can be had.

Fultz is apparently still recovering from injury and I highly doubt he wants to do so here of all places

Yeah it needs to be done. I still say the most logical path is to Spurs tank our way through the rest of this season. At least keep this top six pick. We owe it either way, but this year is not the time to be doing it.

He has to ask for a trade. He needs a new scenery.

The 6ers flushed Joel's prime and any real chance at a championship down the toilet back in the summer of 2019. It's been different shades of lipstick on a pig ever since.
Joel has precisely 0% chance to stay healthy through a long playoff run. So they have 0% chance of ever winning a title. So they should pull the pin on this era. Rebuild. But if you can't trade Paul George then you really can't rebuild.

In fairness he looks at about 90% right now. Big issue is the pathetic games missed.76ciology wrote:What made the George signing so bad was Embiid deciding to choose the Paris Olympics over the 2024-2025 season. He clearly wasn’t right during the olympics.

Yeah, he looked a lot better in the last 5 games. His FTs are also up, which could mean he’s more aggressive on offense.
We’re winning 70% (7-10) of the games with Jojo, I wish he could have played against the good teams instead of teams like Portland, Utah and Brooklyn.
Let’s see how we’d manage him in this upcoming stretch of games above .500 teams
