SImons looked fine but every time I see a Portland poster anywhere online, they try to pawn him off like a used car salesman. Gives me vibes of Cole for our fans lol

He is Cole... but a more consistent version of good-Cole. Exactly what we could use off the bench.

He’s much much better than Cole Anthony. Common now….

You all need him starting after what that offense looked like, not coming off the bench.

Them playing too hard on defense got them hurt in first place, you can't just grind out every game for 82 games.
You need reliable offense to win to expand margins of errors.

And also when you grind out and you still are losing, or have hardly any lead, due fact you can't score at all, your effort will go down as well eventually because people get frustrated and make more errors.

We scored 79 points, talking about defense is silly. You can't keep somebody under 70 points in modern era, teams score 30 points a quarter.

Tonight is obviously an extreme example offensively speaking.

But they still won plenty of games and were competitive in almost every game with not very good offense this year on the back of high end defense and rebounding.

The defense is no longer high end. It's not even good right now. Combine that significant drop off defensively with the still poor offense and you have one of the worst teams in the league at the moment.

Am I crazy for wanting us to trade for LaVine? I've been inching closer and closer to wanting it done but I'm getting desperate. It would be hard to match money without including KCP and I don't love that.

Yeah, that move would be too desperate and financially strapping. Simons is a much cheaper risk for the same gain.

Or make some big consolidations and get Fox if we’re gonna take on a larger contract.

How else did Carter get paid when Goga thoroughly outplayed him last season when he returned from injury?

Seriously. He’s been bad for 2-3 seasons now.

Goga was clearly the better player and they still sent him back to DNPs. Why? Because he was in a contract year. Now 15 games into the season and Goga is miraculously taking his starting role after giving him a contract.

So what? NOW Mosely sees Goga is the better player? Yeah ok.

I agree. I think since his contract is short term at this point it's a little different, but yeah I agree. I'm mostly just saying Lavine would be a really good fit.
