Is there a frontcourt replacement big/tweeter who’s within a similar or slightly cheaper salary slot as Bobby that you’d like to see targeted by the Bucks as a replacement for Bobby? Someone who’s probably more well rounded as a two way (O & D) player.

…or do you think the Bucks are best off sticking with Bobby and trying to platoon his bench role with a cheap young athletic and defensive-minded frontcourt presence; the aim being to substitute him for Bobby in bad Bobby & possibly Brook matchups. If so, do you have any names in mind?

The duo I'd like is Robert Williams and Dalano Banton. Williams splits the center minutes with Brook, while Banton eventually replaces Prince and is part of a 3 forward rotation with Giannis and Khris.

Williams makes a tick less than Bobby, and Banton can be acquired using the minimum salary exception.

Any interest in one of these four options?

1. Grant & Banton for Middleton

2. Grant & Williams for Middleton and Connaughton

3. Grant, Williams, & Banton for Middleton & Portis

4. Grant, Williams, Banton & Thybulle for Middleton, Portis, & Connaughton.

I'm thinking Portland may need to return a future pick for trades 1, 2 or 3.

Someone on Fanspo.com just did a trade of Middleton to Houston for D.Brooks, Jeff Green, and a 1st from Houston. I would do this deal. Brooks is a defensive beast. Uncle Jeff good vet on a expiring deal plus get a draft pick.

Because most of those things are counting stats and not normalized for minutes played and Bobby has played the 4th most minutes. But don't let that stop your narrative.

Middleton has played 600 minutes less than Portis, less than half his minutes, and has almost passed him.
