I think the board is gonna have to accept that we're not gonna be contenders this year, and because of the injuries to both Paolo, Franz, Suggs, etc the team will most likely sit pat, and wait till this offseason to make a move.

If atleast 2 of them werent out extended periods of time, I'd be more optimistic about us making a move, but I just cant envision it, especially not a big move

What's even more depressing is the game went to OT at 108-108.

Magic had 106 points at 4:52 and couldn't muster up more than 2 points in the final 4:52.

This season started with so much promise and it’s becoming a giant letdown.

Our spacing is complete garbage and we can't shoot. Teams will continue to pack the paint.

We were 8-17 from deep in the first half and went 6-22 the rest of the way.

Dribbling involves core strength and balance on a high level

When I got back into playing basketball this past season before joining a rec league (havent played much previous 4-5 years), my dribbling was weak because my core strength was so damn weak.

Ironically I was losing the ball similar to how Paolo was while dribbling. Once I strengthened my core, and rebuilt my muscle memory for dribbling that subsided

Core strength controls everything athletically

Like they gave the guy two full weeks purely for reconditioning and he's been back playing for 17 days on top of that.

That's a month, ya know?

There’s nothing like real time my boy. Scrimmaging against your teammates all the time is not like playing different teams, players in a serious game.

Desmond Bane sprained his oblique and after coming back played like absolute **** for the next 3 weeks.

Paolo tore his oblique and was out for injury for 4x the amount of time as Bane was. He also plays alot more physically than Bane and carries more weight

So no, the expectation that he should be playing like he was the first 5 games by now, doesnt really make sense, ya know?
Yeah, I don't think he's going to get it all back that quickly

It was lack of offense and mental errors, lack of execution. We just lack intangibles which cause us to work harder than we should be and of course bad shooting, guard scoring threats.

I understand the frustrations on the board, because **** is really starting to hit the fan. It **** sucks, I guess I just accepted the fate of this season once Franz went down with the torn oblique and thats why I'm not taking it so hard

I do hope we atleast make a move for a guard like Brogdon or someone else just to get some different looks

Contenders???

I think every team like to believe that their team can win a championship after ever win but I think we all know that we do not have the pieces yet to contend. I think most of us just want the team to be in the playoffs and get into the second round. I know Paolo claimed that they can be top 4 in the East and he wants to get into the ECF, possible, but I am not sure if we truly believe we have enough to contend yet. No, we’re still missing a critical piece called “shooting”.

He was a terrible signing. Truly. I hope they shop him at the deadline, even if the only return is to dump that albatross of a contract on someone else.

KCP was signed in large part due to the belief he’d create additional spacing.

This has not occurred.

More than anything else, his feel is not there. He's not making the right reads. It would also help if his teammates knew where to run to. The TO where he passed it to AB, WCJ was out of bounds... WCJ would have been wide open for three but he decided to try to sneak into the paint but gave Paolo no choice but to pass it into the crowded paint.
