I just want to apologize to any Mavs fans.

Are there any plans to stop going to games by fans? Anything wild in response?

I genuinely don't know what I'd do. I can't say I'd still be a fan, nor can I say I wouldn't. At minimum I would put a pause on it, I imagine while I contemplate it.

The whole thing about Vegas though, aren't we due for expansion? Why not just expand a team in Vegas? Mavs will basically be as good as an expansion team in 3 years, and won't be able to recover until the early 2030s. Wouldn't it of been simpler for the Adelson's to throw money at the NBA to get the expansion team launched rather than this end around to blow up and move the Mavs?

I'm not saying those conspiracy theories are wrong per se though. You want to kill fan support for a franchise to lay the ground work for a move, you couldn't do better than this.

Who? Is there a buyout candidate you have in my mind? Not sure what the Lakers have left in the pantry but it’s not a lot.

I think Reaves and Rui are basically gone.

Rui is better off the ball so i think he stays but Reeves? He needs the ball in his hands. With Lebron and now Luka, Reeves is essentially the their point guard lol.

Hey Bob8, how do you think your Luka boy feels about this trade ? He'll probably like the fame playing in LA, but at the same time it's like starting from scratch. The load on him will be even bigger in LA and he's become injury prone. I don't like the fit with Lebron at all. It's an old and slow duo, so defense is a major concern. Very curious to see how these two share the ball on offense being neither is an off ball player.

Haha, I just went to Mavs.com to look for an email address so I could tell them to go pound sand, and their "Fan Relation FAQ" directs to a 404.

Just **** move the team today, why wait?

Edit: Also, how long until they start sending emails again? Usually when your team does a big trade, you get the "Buy the New Jersey!" email, but obviously that would decimate their email listserv. Next one I get I'm perma opting-out. I'm trying to figure out if I have a Mavs login somewhere I can permanently close down.

Luka is in pretty good position, if he doesn't like in Lakers, he can simply walk away in 1.5 years. Luka in Spurs would be great.

Injury prone? He has played 39 games more games in last 5 years than 5 years older player they traded for.

These folks are VERY gullible. Or intentionally acting like that because they want to believe he's not trying to stack the deck.

The fact that you unironically parrot the LeGM Twitter NPC talking points while calling others gullible is actually hysterical. Just want you to know that lil bro

Not sure who tf that is and I’m not on twitter, but the fact that you keep some sort of online rolodex of people and compare their posts is insane behavior even for a Bron Stan. Do better brother.

I do think the Mavs win in the short term by a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they make the finals again this year.

Once the shock wears off, I think people will come back down to earth and understand how GREAT AD has been and back pedal. Mark my words.

AD being good isn't the concern, AD being in his 30's with his injury history is the concern for him

I hope that Luka’s health, weight, and laziness on defense, and complaining outweighs your assessment. We’ll see who’s right in a couple of months.

everyone involved in this corruption even saved lakers a 1st, seconds, rui, reeves, and knecht to use as potential trades to complete the roster...and gave lakers almost a week to work things out before trade deadline...purely gold genius

In the end this being lopsided and outrageous benefits the whole NBA, media and especially Lakers. They’ve created such buzz and engagement. The shock will wear off soon with how the news cycle is but the eyeballs will remain for the rest of the season.

They just injected the whole league with enough drama to reinvigorate it.
