I know. We never could have traded Ayton for AD as you suggested. And even if we did, Luka wants to play in LA, so we probably wouldn't have been able to do that either, but it was a nice daydream.

You're lashing out. That's why you are bringing up an off hand comment I made one-time pre Covid lol.

It's not your fault.

We're all mad about this trade.

Pre covid? No, you suggested we trade Ayton for AD around the same time you were suggesting trading him for Zion. This was after it was obvious we would probably trade him. We only had Ayton like 1 season before Covid.

Was this before of after I called the league forcing Sarver to sell the team, Monty getting fired as soon as the new owner was able and Nurk being a disaster?

Since you like to keep track of all of my old takes....

I personally dont think this is a good trade for the Lakers. Next Zion with no defense. Lebron is 40 and hes done in a couple years. I dont think the Lakers sniff the Finals this year.

They think his injuries are because of his conditioning and they are tired of dealing with it day in and day out, and they are taking the opposite approach the Pelicans are taking with Zion and the Clippers with Kawhi and do not want to become beholden to him and his injuries and wonder when he will play.

Of course they are trading for AD, but he's never out of shape.

lol Mavs BETTER hope Luka is missing 30-40 games a season from here on out

Or they win the title this year and Davis is an absolute unstoppable force. Davis at the 4 with Gafford and Lively playing the 5 - he just might be.

Interesting to see what other moves the Mavs make.

Between the Luka/AD trade and Beal not waiving his no-trade - Suns might be saved
Let some other team do something stupid for Butler

That's a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) take. This isn't about this season, it's about the next 10 years. Lakers now have 1 of the best in the league at age 25 and soon to sign a new deal.

No one in the planet thinks he's the next Zion as he's damn near won an MVP already and been 1st team almost every yr

Exactly, The Lakers had about a two year window of middling relevance, and have turned it into 10 year window where they can compete if they surround Luka with the right players.

It's like if we were able to turn KD into Wemby. Completely changes the long-term trajectory of the franchise overnight.

Bulls have a guy or two I'd be monitoring as the Suns so interested to see their involvement.

Per Brian Windhorst:

The Heat’s Jimmy Butler has communicated to the Warriors that he’s unwilling to sign an extension there & therefore trade talks to send him to Golden State have ended for now

Kings got a nice haul for Fox too. Lavine and 3 firsts + 3 seconds is about as good as you could hope for.

They'd beat us in a 7 game series i think at least.

Return to Phoenix Suns
