There’s no need for all these grand conspiracy theories. The Mavs think AD is better than Luka and they won the trade. It’s really that simple.

This obviously goes against conventional thinking, but the Mavs think they know something we don’t. They’re essentially shorting Luka and betting on him never winning anything. They’re saying he’s OVERRATED.

This is like if Jeff Bezos sold all of his Amazon stock, all at once. If you’re an Amazon stockholder, aren’t you at least a little worried about your own shares?

We need to reevaluate Luka’s actual value.

We know his value based on the results we've seen from Luka.

They don't have to think AD is a better player, but rather a better fit for what they have with their roster. And I guess when I say they I mean one man, their GM.

I would go back and read what you wrote kiddo, nobody would ever want AD instead of Luka at this stage of their careers in any scenario period.

The reason this is so shocking is because this is the first time in NBA history that 2 current All NBA players were traded for each other.

The shady part is that the somehow, after all their poor decisions- they still end up being GIFTED a top 5 NBA player, who is 26 years old, for a guy who is in the twilight of his career at age 32 with significant injury and leadership concerns.

There are 15>20 better guys and packages that the Mavs could have at least asked for before pulling the trigger on this, and yet the Lakers end up getting another superstar for what is essentially a ham sandwich in relative terms.
