Windy is a windbag. Just like during the Dame saga with the two fingers pointed in the air meme. He’s playing the Miami-Durant angle for max attention.

I hope this goes through; Phoenix can let Butler be the facilitator with more proven vet 3pt shooters around him like Booker, Beal, Allen, O'Neale and Jones allowing Beal and Booker to take more shots vs create for others. Sometimes having a lesser player of a different playstyle will help a team. I'd expect Butler would help Phoenix more than he'd help Golden State although it would be interesting to see Butler and Draymond play together and how they'd help each other on offense and defense.

I think Butler or even Draymond would help the Suns in ways KD can't, of course neither will sleep walk into 30-point games like KD can.

The Butler and Draymond dynamic is very similar to what the Tucker dynamic was.

Honestly if you get KD, you have to get off Terry or else keeping one cancels out acquiring the other.

It's funny but that's what the Heat wanted him to do this year and he said he lost his joy over it

The Butler and Draymond dynamic is very similar to what the Tucker dynamic was.

Both Butler and Draymond can facilitate, allowing the Sun's offensive players to focus more on scoring or finding open spots vs going to get the ball and trying to create for themselves or others. They just need a creative playmaker to run the ball through which both Butler and Draymond can be. As you have seen, Butler sometimes only wants to facilitate, that'll work well with 2 high volume shooters in Booker and Beal.

Basically, I look at it like this...
Phoenix overpaid greatly for KD.
They got Beal for cheap because of the NTC.
If they can get Butler and assets for KD, they've kinda fixed part of their mess while making the team more of a team vs just 3 high paid scorers.

They might as well go for it while they're locked in with Beal, once his contract is over, not bring Butler or Beal back and trade Booker for possibly a haul to help them rebuild.

Honestly, I don't think the Warriors are interested in Butler either. If they were what is the hold up on the deal? Heat contemplating accepting a Butler for Beal swap?

Butler is staying on the Heat and the ****show will likely continue.

While I don’t know what’s going to happen, DWade himself said “relationships matter, people”.

KD just spent the summer winning gold with Spo and Edrice. It’s another reason why the Luka deal got done, purely based on Nico and PIMPlinka’s long term relationship (that the PIMP sonned him so hard with, but I digress).

I still don’t think it happens, but I wouldn’t be shocked. Suns team isn’t going anywhere. Even with KD, we might not either, but in the East we have a much better shot.

At this point this all about what KD wants. If he wants out and says trade me to Miami it'll happen. If he says no, he'll stay. These team have been talking for weeks now and intensely talking for the last couple of days in deals surrounding Jimmy. They've been talking longer than the Lakers and Mavs had. We have to get over the "no way in hell would the Suns trade KD for Jimmy" logic. That no longer matters. They have seriously entertained trading Kevin Durant to the Warriors. It isn't hard to flip over to Miami. The Suns themselves opened up this door. Does KD wan't to walk through it?

No, they want to shoot 3s, attack the basket and play with pace, that's not Butler's game outside of attacking the basket from time to time, he wants to back his man down while trying to facilitate by drawing help. He can shoot 3s when he's stationary which is why you see him mostly shoot from the corners and not really anywhere else. Butler's a terrible fit for Miami's offense, he's just talented enough to get his here and there.
