They may go through a honeymoon phase, Butler gets what he wants, by signing an extension and all of that, but I assure you it's not going to last.

He isn't the missing piece that they are hoping for, and I assure you that Draymond and Butler are eventually going to clash because they have rather similar personalities. Butler is likely going to be traded before his contract ends.

I'll say this much, Mike Dunleavy Jr has done a pretty poor job since taking over as GM, and wasted what's left of Curry's career.

I think it's an improvement. They're not gonna win it or make the conference finals most likely but with Jimmy, you can't just all focus on Steph. He's a legit scoring option and threat. He will also match the Steph and Dray timeline.

I dunno how GSW could've done better, short of Lebron, Durant or Luka.

They've got a 1-2y window. So does Jimmy. Last hurrah. All it really cost was one protected 1st.

$121M is a lot, but never going to feel sorry for how much money GSW owners made. Might as well give some to Jimmy.

It's amazing the chain of dominoes caused by Beal not waiving his NTC. That guy changed the NBA this season.

They're saying it's the Pacers pick, so probably in the 20-25 range. Not a lot for BI.

Kings down big on Zach's first game in Sactown.

15 assists to 30 field goals
13 turnovers.

ISO ball is back baby!

Jimmy and Steph will be dangerous in the playoffs. Can't wait to see it. I think Jimmy will lock in.

I don't see it. Butler is averaging just 18ppg and has been a malcontent. He doesn't seem to fit the Kerr system naturally as he's not known as an off ball guy. Kerr handling the personalities of both Drayma Queen and Butler is a massive headache for him. If this was Butler if 2020 or 2022, maybe, but I don't see the 2025 version working well.

Vuc was never going to the Lakers. Only place that makes sense at this point is Phoenix that I can think of.

I think Mavs should trade for him. He’s a better fit next to Davis than Gafford or Lively.

I don't understand why for the Hornets, I thought he was part of their young core?

The Lakers got a good young center to pair with Luka long term (assuming he stays healthy) but gave up their sharp shooter rookie and an unprotected FRP (plus a swap).

I'm not sure I like it for either team.

Maybe the Hornets want Vuc now? I don't think they have a center outside of Diabaté.

Williams is talented but he isn't much of a defender. Also very injury prone.

His trade value wasn't very high due health concerns (he's often injured) and he was a FA at the end of the year (still is...?).

It may have been a situation where it was deal too good for Charlotte to turn down...? Mark Williams is good, and only 22 years old, but he has injury concerns. He's only played in 22 games this year, 19 last year and 43 his rookie season.

I'd be surprised if they have any interest in Vucevic.

What?? It's a effing steal for the Lakers. Got Mark Williams basically for nothing. We pay more for guys over 30

I said this in a previous post: Mark Williams is good, but injury prone. He's played in 22 games this year, 19 last year and 43 his rookie season.

Getting an unprotected pick, a pick swap and a promising young player (Knecht) is a good deal for Charlotte. They can worry about the center position in the off season.
