It might be a good time to convert Clark to a regular contract.

Great win really. Ant was huge, Mike clutch, Clark is fantastic in defense and if he can score..... the second half we did not let them score much... still got the feeling that we play much better without Randle and with Naz starting. Was smart to take a day off to watch this one as well .Go Wolves!

you remind me of a guy I know named Levine. Regards.

He’s super cheap, a great teammate and never complains about not playing. Of course they love him!

He’s a great 15th man as long as you don’t have to play him in any role beyond “human victory cigar”.

Injuries have forced Finch into some different lineup combinations. While everyone is wasting energy on Garza who won't be in the rotation once we're healthy, I'm seeing Finch's confidence grow in the young guys. I am absolutely loving some of the defensive sub-lineups we can get to, including ones with all of McDaniels, Alexander-Walker and Clark on the floor.

Naz with an off shooting night still fills the boxscore (15PT. 11RB. 4AS, 2ST, 2BL, +25). It's hard to see how he goes back to the bench.

Two words… HELL NO!

We have 14 players. If we convert Clark that shortens our control for a year, prevents us from signing a backup C, prevents us from signing another PG, and costs Millions in tax.

This is the only real reason here that I see us maybe not doing it. But then, if you're worried about it preventing the team from signing someone else, there's obviously not too much concern about the tax after all.

If we sign him now he likely gets the standard minimum contract. If he continues to play well and we don't sign him, he becomes a restricted free agent in the offseason and has a real chance of getting offers that are a fair bit higher.

Ant went hero mode, but this time was somewhat in the flow of offense. Great job by Mike in the late fourth. Jaden and Naz had bad games, the rookies stepped up (hot hand Clark for bench MVP,) and we got a good team win with a preview of playoff mode Ant!

And no one is saying to cut him.

Just not to play him in any leveraged situations…

Given some of the weird **** we've seen this season from our coaching staff, the fact you put THIS much faith into their decision making is strange.

Coaches can be blinded by their personal feelings toward a player, which is what I think is the case with Garza - From all reports he's a dream to have in the locker room and is a genuinely nice guy. Finch loves him, but that doesn't prove either way if he is good enough to be given minutes. But our eyes do seem to point to the "he just isn't good enough" side of it.

The problem is your eyes don't count for me as much as the coaches eyes do. Respectfully.

In the end you might be right. I just want to see how it plays out and give him every chance.

BTW, the game tonight is one of the best I've seen all year. Wolves have played great down the stretch like good teams do for a change. I am heartened by our performance tonight. Houston is a good club.

And that's completely understandable and don't blame you - But you also need to be aware that there are a number of us who just aren't that trusting of the coaching staff given some the decisions made.

EDIT: Was a brilliant end - Getting the win against HOU was not something I imagined happening

EDIT2: Garza had 2 mins... He definitely wasn't trusted tonight

Highly unlikely. He was shooting 9 of 23 on the season and 3 of 10 from deep before tonight. Josh Okogie was a minimum player and he had 5 years of proven defense, Clark has 5 games. For a team to tie up real money knowing we can match is unlikely.

Or any situation. Play Miller. I don’t see us bringing Garza back do solely to roster limitations. Miller on the other hand is in the future plans.

One other thought, if we want Clark available for postseason games he has to be on a regular contract.
