If D'Angelo Russell is bought out, would he be a good pairing with his buddy Booker?

I know we have a crap load of guards but are any of them any good, other than Booker?

Oh, that's right we have that $200 Million mistake, the great Bradley Street Clothes Beal. Has this MF played more than 2 games in a row for us?

No.

1. Russell is not what the Suns need.

2. Booker appeasing moves should never be on the table from here moving on out. Booker era has not yielded the desired outcomes (2021 Finals run is as much as CP3, Suns young core run as Booker, as proved by the last 2 seasons without CP3 and the Suns core back then).

3. If anything someone like Ben Simmons would have made better sense. The guy doesnt like shooting so he would fit in as Suns have 3 high volume shot takers. Simmons facilitating and size as big wing slash power forward would be a welcome addition... Suns lack players like Simmons.

Russell is talented, no doubt, but we don't need more talent.

We need someone to **** rebound, defend, and give a ****.

This summer we should be warming up to Nico in Dallas, readying him to unload for a KD trade.

We could get Gafford/Lively and two first round picks, Klay for salary.

They get to pseudo-contend with AD/KD (Kyrie is GONE).

Run with

(Point Guard or Jones)
Booker
Allen
Dunn
Lively

Bench: Tyus Jones, Beal, Klay, Gafford

No, it wouldn't be much different than Beal and Booker but Russell is worse than Beal.

We need defense. Watching the Mavs/Rockets it's amazing how bad our frontcourt is in comparison to like the Mavs.

I thought so but they look so good right now always having two rim protectors on the floor with Gafford and AD, I don't even think trading a ton for KD would be good for them. They'd need to give us a lot of players to even match salary. Klay for sure and Gafford and PJ and another guy. Doubt they give up Lively. He is the one rookie contract guy they have control of for like 7 years and is a stud. I know getting KD would be worth it in a vacuum but based on watching them today, they don't need KD.

Nah, they want AD to have another big to play with. They got two. The Mavs team is very well constructed now IMO, built similarly to how the Suns were when Suns were in the Finals. Athletic big, wings, and a strong PG.

I might try to get Lonzo Ball. The health is a risk but if he was healthy he would probably help a lot.

Mavs are not a good trading partner for Suns at all.

Yeah, he went down like it looked like he got punched in the balls but he didn't...there was no one around him. He was having a monster game too.

Yes he was a problem "in the locker room" because he was close with the players, but Bud was freezing him out. We know this because he openly told reporters a few weeks ago that that's what was going on.

Naturally - if you want control over a locker room (or at least an attempt at it) you can't have that in the midst. It's really not rocket science here.

We are about to find out a lot more whether in the next few weeks or in the offseason. From the surface this beef is one of the more bizarre things Bud has chosen and a distraction from the trash job he's done as HC.

Suns are going to end up eating yet another bad HC contract. It's an inevitability.

What are you gonna do as HC if your starting C is playing like **** and you put him of the bench and he starts talking **** ("life is not fair" lol) and continue to play terrible as a backup?

Budenholzer did a great job adjusting and putting Beal and Nurkic on the bench. Beal was a profesional and kept playing giving his all and Nurkic was immature and started crying when he needed to recognize that he was **** on the court for months. He deserved those DNPs.

Oh right, right ADJUSTED the Suns to the bottom edge of the play-in seeding. Listen to the nonsense you're spewing lol.

They're both wrong, but Bud is the head coach. He's supposed to talk it out with his player to ensure the situation doesn't fester in that locker room due to how other players respect Nurk.

He chose to FREEZE HIM out - mind you a player that committed to everything Bud asked of him in the offseason (weight loss, working with a shot coach) even though the idea of him playing the Lopez role was ridiculous to begin with.

It was like watching Vogel try to force his defense onto a gaggle of players who couldn't play it to save their lives nor do they want to.

I cannot wait until this season is over.

There is not one redeeming player on this roster as far as I'm personally concerned - not even Booker. This franchise took a shot at a path it thought would finally net a 'Ship - but it was not to be. It needs a wrecking ball in the worst way.

Nico is pretty much a goner. He keeps getting death threats it’s only a matter of time until someone takes him out. I give him a week to two to live.

Davis has had some groin injuries before. If it's a pulled groin or hamstring he will be out a few weeks. AD looked good out there but already this trade is looking bad for the Mavs.
