Ya I was on the side it’s not a bad deal in the history of deals when it comes to the talent involved.

Surprising yes, but talent received for Dallas was giving up a top 5 player for a top 15 player, top 3 big.

You can almost never get a deal like that nowadays.

You gotta take into account age, injury history, marketability, etc. If they got 2 or 3 future 1sts maybe, but 1 is insulting. It made absolutely no sense to not let LA talk to Luca if that is what would have led to more picks. Like he was going to be traded either way, what was the downside  In a vacuum if we are only thinking the rest of 2025, the deal wasnt that bad.

Told y'all Christie was due for a breakout.

I will brag about it because I was called a fool for suggesting he was going to be a very good player.

So Mavs trade Luka because the poor conditioning might lead to him getting injured. And then the guy they trade for gets injured in the very first game.

This isn't making the trade any easier to swallow for Mavs fans right about now.

Only thing worse would be Luka putting up a 40 pts, 20 assists and 20 rebounds tonight in a win...and that's honestly not out of the realm of possibility for him.

It is....because the Lakers already played today and it was Reeves dropping 45 without Luka or Bron

The Jazz have have eight players listed on their injury report: Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, Taylor Hendricks, Walker Kessler, KJ Martin, Josh Richardson, Collin Sexton, and Cody Williams.

But still leading Clippers now. What kind of tanking is this?

Looking like a steal from 2022 draft.

Add it to the list of guys they could've had instead of Thad Young.

We should have drafted everyone who became good after that draft pick. We should make a list of all of those players and create a thread and bitch about it. Heck we should do this for every year. Imagine if we had Jokic in the second round?

Or we could just make a list of all the guys who are still in the NBA.

You mean the reality where Thad isn't even in the league anymore?

I love the guys who talk **** about crappiness of the mystery box while cradling a gigantic bowl of turds

No, the part where we traded down 10 spots, still drafted a good prospect (can’t really predict blood clots), and got cap relief to re-sign guys.

We obviously didn’t see amazing value in Thad **** young

Exactly, it wasn’t about Thad Young. It was about cap flexibility. It’s really not rocket science here.

If you’re that surprised with this deal you need to follow basketball a lot more because these deals happen all the time.
