NGL I'm pretty hurt and pissed off about Strahan, whom I loved, waving the Eagles flag. There are just certain things you don't say or do. I can understand feeling "happy" for Saquon but to wave the arch rival and enemy's flag was spitting on the face of your former teammates, coaches, management, history and fans. Maybe I'm overreacting and it's not that serious but it really pissed me off and it made me hate this current regime even more for what they have done to this franchise.

I think Strahan deliberately did that to send a shot at the organization.

The Giants are in the worst shape that I've ever seen them in and I've been a fan since the 90s. I imagine if us fans aren't happy, the former players aren't either. Schoen looks like a complete ass hole and an incompetent dick over this entire fiasco. Mara should have fired his dumb ass.

seems like a lot of smoke on rumors about Stafford and the Giants (trade). I know there were rumors about us trying to acquire him at the deadline.

Yup, Nabers was tweeting about it last week then deleted them. Elumenor sort of implied some smoke as well.

That was all before we hired Stafford's brother in law to be our assistant QB coach. We all know Stafford's wife wears the pants in that family

At the same time though, she pretty much made it clear that he'll go where gets paid. Are we really going to give him something in the realm of 3/150 with $80M GTD?

I don't know man...some of the rumors are saying that Mara is driving the ship (he wants to stop being a laughing stock) and Schoen and Daboll are going along because they have no choice because they will be fired if they lose anyway.

Stafford is still a solid QB....he would make us credible and it would allow us to potentially not force a QB in the 1st round could go more developmental later in day 2 or something like that.

But the process seems backwards to me. What draft comp are we giving up? He obviously would only come if we gave him a shiny new contract...and he's 37 years old.

He certainly would give us stability at the position until we figure out the long term solution...but I don't know. If McVay is willing to move on from him...that would certainly shoot up red flags.

But then again he also almost went into Philly in a snow game and was a couple plays from knocking them off...they were the only team to real consistently move the ball vs Philly's defense in bad weather.

I guess it all depends on the draft capital to trade for him and then how damning the contract extension would be.

I think it would then open us up to not having to go QB at 3...and I do love the idea of a Abdul Carter...we saw what Philly pass rush did to mahomes.

Any Giant fan that would support this move would be bugging.

Colin Cowheard was saying the rams want the 3rd pick. He didnt say these exact words, but he basically was saying that Schoen and Daboll are desperate, cause they have a mandate to win this year. And that this rumor has a lot of legs behind it.

He said the rams are looking to rebuild and that they are tired of the stuff that surronds stafford, with his wife etc etc.

There is absolutely no way this is even in consideration if the third pick is on the table. The Rams don't have that kind of leverage, especially since Kupp made it known he will be traded and Stafford's wife made the contract stuff public.

This is another Brian Burns situation.

there is zero chance it would cost the 3rd overall pick though (there is no precedence behind it - even Aaron Rodgers 2 years ago went for way less). Cowherd doesn't know anything.

Read on Twitter

schefter basically went on an squashed that rumor about the 3rd overall pick...Now I might even pause at a 2nd round pick as well.

If its starts to get to 3rd round pick and maybe a conditional pick based on games played next year for the following season maybe I might consider that.

I still not shocked by this...though...the regime isn't going to be allowed to win 4-5 games next year so I'm almost numb to it now...they are going to try and bring in guys that will help them save there jobs.

If Mara is steering the strategy though, I don't even know who to blame, because it's not them "saving their jobs" it's them executing what their boss and owner is telling them to do.

Not quite the same, though the results will be underwhelming either way.

Yeah we wont know for sure...after what happened with Barkley it probably is entirely possible Mara feels more impowered to steer the ship. At this point everyone can get the blame. Obviously ownership down. If the mandate was put to win games (then they will go the vet QB route) and then Schoen and Daboll are just lame ducks executing Mara's plan.

Even with Stafford I find it hard to believe we finish anyhwere but last in the division. Maybe we can beat out the cowboys...thats it.

That's why I'm not mad.

Mara, Schoen and Daboll deserve to be humiliated.

I’m not considering any pick for him cause he wants big money. We can use that money for the roster. Stafford can kick rocks. He is not worth any assets.

if we get a vet QB, i want someone who can barely play but will help whoever we draft along, bring good leadership, be a good mentor and be completely comfortable with that and collecting that check

i think the ideal is joe flacco but if that can't happen maybe andy dalton or jameis can be a good pickup

Grew up watching Strahan embody what it means to be a giant. He’s a Hollywood follower now. So dissapointing which is why I’m not mad at Kayvon saying F the cowboys etc. all this saquon ass kissing was the talk of 2024. Anybody else who lost a running back went on about their business but they had to force this Saquon ****.
