If Gaff is included in a potential KD trade, UFA options at backup center would be Capela, Brook Lopez, Andre Drummond, and Steven Adams.

Is Yabusele an upgrade over Omax? S&T maybe?

Mavs will be over the 1st Apron so no S&T, and no one holds his bird rights so he can't be S&T.
I think Kyrie opts in and signs 3 year max extenstion, comes up to 200/4 deal including his opt is, Mavs would be at ~190M-~195M after resigning Exum to small deal and signing their 1st round pick, they can trade fr KD, use TPMLE and fill the roster with vet mins.
So they duck the 2nd Apron, and have a mix of 3 near max vets, role players on sub MLE deals and some young talent (Lively, Christie and the 25 1st).

Well in this scenario (I also think KD to Dallas makes a lot of sense) I wouldn't be surprised if Lively (instead of the picks) is in the package, especially with his ongoing injury issues.... If these are the center options Brook is the one that fits me the most, with his ability to space the floor.

I just lurked a bit on the PHX board and some of them actually believe 37 years old KD will net them Lively/PJ/all our picks

I get that we have the most clueless GM of all time, but cmon how could be an injury prone soon to be 37 years old KD worth all of that?

I get your reasoning, my friend, but that means we are giving up all of our froncourt rotation (Liv/Gaff/PJ) cause Gaff has to be included in every KD trade in order to match his huge salary. Or, if they keep Gaff, Mavs have to move too many rotational players. That's too rich for my blood.

Agree on Brook, I forgot he's a FA next July, if he's available for the TMLE is another nice target to fill the frontcourt depth.

The pressure on Harrison is insane, he has to make a move after the failure of this season (yes it isn't over but no way we will a couple of PO series).

He goes all in on KD and Dallas Mavericks will be done for next 7years. Book it.

I agree, but as a reference look at what KD received in return at 35 (already prone to injuries)
unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if Lively is part of the package...or they take this year's FRP and the Lakers'

KD would want to reunite with Kyrie?

How about we get Budenholzer? Is he even upgrade over Kidd right now?

This really sucks watching Luka put up 31 pts contributing to wins while our new star's greatest contribution is helping our youngsters develop.

And this deal was supposed to address our short-term?
Jesus frickin Christ Nico....WTF have you done?

My hate for this organization is beginning to build everyday.

I've watched every game he played for the Lakers, he's ranged from unplayable (Jazz road game and Hornets) to below average Luka (Nuggets), if he was still in Dallas, I don't think we'd be better.
It was a terrible trade for the future, but Mavs would have been 9th/10th seed waiting for Luka and Lively to get into shape either way.
P.S. What JJ Reddick is squeezing from that roster is amazing, he's pushing the exact buttons and having the perfect plan every game....

Luka (with Steph and KD, but I think Luka is better at this stage) is the best scorer in the league when healthy, but this stretch with the Lakers, and we saw it also last year against the Clips in the PO, highlighted the other elite strength of his, his ability to control the ball run efficient offense even when he doesn't have his scoring ability, defenses know he can't score, and he still manages to squeeze a good offense and settle the game down for his team.

The more I think about it....

The more I feel that Phoenix Arizona is a conducive place to raise newborn children. PJ Washington, you are a Phoenix Sun LOL

(For those who don't get it, it's just a joke)

With this being Brown's last game as a Mav, I think we should get Sharp on a 2way and dump Kelly. He should have been there already.

Now Lakers will sign Brown and pour more salt on our wounds.

Seriously, I've probably never seen a worse fall than a team that played in the finals 7 months before...

It's a disaster.

It's not quickly fixable. We are done.

Mavs drafted 2 all NBA players in 2018, one of them is on top 20 all time trajectory, Nico minshandled both of them, and they ended up on the 2 largest BB franchises on the planet, Josh Bowe jokingly said on the post game pod, once Nico is fired and gets high profile job on Nike, senate hearings will be conducted to investigate this.

Q.Grimes with 44 pts and a W. Was another brilliant trade by Nico in a short time.
