i agree in principle. shedeur just doesn't have the skillset or elite tools to go #1 overall.

we did a lot of flirting with him for the past year though so who knows

Ward was always the more highly projected prospect, but I don't know what Sanders did to fall, especially since he hasn't really touched a football in months.

it may not be falling it may just be fan perspective and mocks are finally catching up to league perspective and where he is likely to land.

betting odds now shifting as well. Giants were like +250 per some people as of yesterday.

Now even odds with the team with the 1st overall pick.

we can bring the entire gang in  ...honestly it wouldn't cost any draft capital so its not worse case scenario. Probably better than trading huge draft capital and giving Stafford 100 MM guaranteed.

Rodgers with Adams/Nabers for 1 year while Ward learns behind him wouldn't be the worse case scenario.

The thing is the Giants are going to get a vet QB because the GM/HC need wins. So they cant just put out another 3-4 win season...this is just the unfortunate situation of an owner that is bad that is looking for wins from a roster that isn't ready to compete in the NFC east. But this might be the best of a bad situation.

Rodgers and Adams makes the most sense from Daboll and Schoen's POV. It's a move that at least makes the team better than a 3 win dumpster fire. Fields or Winston = hard pass.

Now. Here's the thing. I'm not in favor of trading up for Ward if it costs our 1st next year.

Sign AR, ask him to stay off of McAfee, bring in Adams with him, and use #3 to draft BPA. We can take a flyer on Dart in the 2nd?

If they really want to sign Darnold, which is what the reporting is, they don't have the leverage to get the 2026 1st from us. They need this deal done by Monday and it doesn't seem like anyone else is knocking on their door.

Some rumors are saying #3, 3rd round pick this year (first pick in 3rd round) and 2nd round pick in 2026.

Also there are rumors Titans have some interest in doing a KT for Harold Landry swap at edge because KT is cheaper and a slightly better pass rusher.

I don't think there is a precedent for Titans to hold out for the 2026 1st round pick...that is a no go to move up 2 spots. Especially if Titans decide to move out and don't want to move far down to secure one of the big non-QB prospects they have to really work with Giants.

Yup and FA's are going to want to know what the QB situation is. Plus, if they sign a QB like Darnold, then they lose even more leverage on the pick.

I've been in on Cam Ward all season...won't stop now...this is just two games. So many high level NFL type throws.

Clear QB1.

A lot of the sanders stock falling is due to racism. The media is piling on him for being brash etc.

SS is different that most QBs is that he comes from money and high profile father and is not afraid to flaunt it in your face.

The old guard is not used to seeing a prospect like this. Who is this in your face before he is drafted.

Tye realty is that Cam Ward is not that much better than Sanders, don’t fool yourself thinking that. They both have intangibles the other does not have. The most important aspect a QB can have is between in the ears. The NFL has way more failures with its physically gifted QBs vs Mentally Gifted.

Sanders is Mentally Gifted. I really don’t care who the Giants pick at this point, but I’m not going to bet against a sanders at this level espically one who has Tom Brady as a mentor.

But again SS is the type of player that people want to put in his place and see him fail.
