Brunson rolls his ankle and it looked really bad.

He could be out multiple weeks.

Knicks collapse is complete.

But Brunson suffering a potential serious injury is worse than the collapse.

Remember back in January when you kept saying the Knicks were rolling?

Every team will go through the ups and downs of an 82-game season.

Look at the Knicks now.

The knicks are still a good team. They’re missing that extra piece to be a contender.

The Knicks were/are hurt. Lakers have mostly played borderline playoff teams and lottery..
If we were to make it past the Cavs on paper, barring a crazy push from the refs which is kinda likely, the Lakers are our best matchup, no dominant big, 2-3 guys you could abuse on defense, with a fair whistle, it may not go past 4 with both teams healthy. I kinda doubt the Lakers could make it to the Finals tho… got OKC and Nuggets above them, maybe even GSW cause I think GSW would play far better D.
Good assessment:

That was not the narrative 2 months ago.

Before the season started, some even said the Knicks will be the #1 threat to the Celtics.

2 months ago Lakers vs. Celtics finals was fantasy.

Now there's a chance it can happen.

I would love for it to happen.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/44152127/cuban-mavericks-got-better-deal-luka-doncic

Cuban and a lot of fans are correct that the Mavs should have gotten more.

But it's a case of a rush sale.

Just like in business when you desperately need to sell something because you need the money.

According to a report, no extra 1st rnd pick was given to the Mavs because the Mavs won't allow the Lakers to talk to Luka's agent before the trade.

He's incredible. That said, I feel bad that he's getting his amazing game kinda downgraded, but there a pretty compelling thread on the GB showing that a bunch of the assists he got last night were not actually assists. Which is extra weird because it was the Pacers scorekeeper giving him credit for them.

These are the rules I found. I’m not sure all are bad calls.

1. Immediate Scoring Opportunity – The pass must lead directly to the basket without the scorer making excessive moves to create their own shot.
2. Minimal Dribbling – The recipient can take a few dribbles if they are moving toward the basket or positioning for a shot, but too much individual effort negates the assist.
3. Quick Action – The scorer should take the shot soon after receiving the pass; if they reset the offense or significantly change the play, an assist is usually not awarded.

Ultimately, assist decisions involve some subjectivity from official scorekeepers.

Added: if they take them away then they would have to do it for a lot of assists in history. There is no way those are the only examples and it was only Jokic.

Ouch, Rookie Reed Sheppard "fractures" his shooting thumb.

My man A Nesmith since starting again last 10 games shooting 51 and 40 splits.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

They should have won the first match-up.

Got complacent in the 2nd half.

They match up just fine against them.

By the rules, the assist decisions clearly do involve subjectivity. The MPJ and Braun ones in the first video are maybe marginal. MPJ's step-back probably should be creating his own shot.

Of the other 3, only Russ's perhaps not an assist. The Gordon one, for example, is, by current convention and the letter of the law, a pretty clear assist, ime.
