At this point the draft is the best option, barring a surprise trade. They made the mistake of passing on McConkey last season. Maybe they've learned and take Restrepo this year.

I mean the numbers would disagree with this take. The Packers have consistently scored more when they have one of MVS or Watson playing under MLF.
Last year with Watson they scored over 27 points per game, without him it was less than 20. In the 3 years they've had Watson they've scored about 2.5 more points per game with Watson then without him. They also consistently scored less when MVS wouldn't play before Watson. Having a deep threat is crucial to an offense and even if they don't put up huge numbers themselves, it opens up the field for other guys. If you don't have a deep threat then the defense can condense the field down and make life a lot harder for the other guys.

So they have massive talent issue or MLF is clueless

I mean having a deep threat is huge is any offense for opening up underneath stuff. The Packers offense struggled mightily the year Jordy went down. The Chiefs & Bills both have recently signed MVS to deals. It's fairly common football strategy to have a guy that defenses have to respect deep in order to open up the rest of the field. Its also why offenses in general struggle more in the redzone than between the 20s, because the field is condensed.

It's not exactly exciting but an MVS reunion would make a lot of sense.

I think it's also something to backburner for today and focus on EDGE and CB first.

Yea, Edge & CB seem like the spots most likely to be filled right away. The WR, OL, and anything else can be handled after the first wave

Sign Drew Dalman before the Bears do. He’s good and definitely an upgrade over Myers.

Still one of the most frustrating picks with Creed Humphrey and Quinn Meinerz both sitting right there.

I think everyone should prepare in advance for some serious sticker shock today. There always is in the first wave of FA but it might be worse than usual with the cap going up. There's going to be crazy money getting paid today so react accordingly.

I'll usually trust Gute when he actually decides to spend. Will say I'm a bit nervous that we're gonna overpay for a couple mid-tier FA's using the "cap going up" rationale though.

Brace yourself then. Anyone that theoretically moves the needle in even a slightly meaningful way that signs today is probably going to be overpaid on paper.

I mean overpaid even relative to the increased cap environment. I've followed sports too long to know that these spikes always result in stupid cash getting thrown around by even the smarter GM's. X and Jacobs were really the perfect targets last year from a fit, cost, and age perspective. I'm not expecting another round of immediate impact blue-chippers, just be smart about it.

Yeah my fear is that those guys don't exist so it's either overpay or sift through what's left in the second or third wave of signings.

Not surprised at all. We churn through centers here.

Interior lineman is really the position that I'd hate spending money on. Just draft a dude, have Monk take the job, slide Tom over, whatever. O-line shouldn't be a priority unless they really wanna upgrade from Walker or for whatever reason are already down on Morgan.

Demovsky says Packers are not moving Jaire "at this time"

Probably for the best with this market and weaker draft class.

Unless he's going to be toxic in the locker room, or they absolutely need the money for something else, they might as well bring him back. IF he can actually manage to stay healthy, they're not going to find anyone better.

Might not be a great sign for how things are looking for us with the top corners on the market.

Worth noting if you are hoping for Chase Young and/or Byron Murphy, I don't believe they technically become free agents until tomorrow

Not too exciting but would help us relax during the draft.

DE Josh Sweat - 3 Years $75 Mil
CB Bryon Murphy - 4 Years $64 Mil
DL Raekwon Davis - 3 Years $20 Mil
LB Isiah Simmons - 1 Year $3 Mil
WR Tyler Lockett - 1 Year $3 mil (Just a Body)

Draft a Center and open the door to BPA

Unfortunately, that's way more exciting than what's probably going to happen in real life.
