Right now I'm on the Denver train to the Finals. I think the Nuggets beat OKC.

They probably gotta beat GSW in round 2. But this time, they'll be hamstrung having to play Jokic and Murray.

Not a fan of Pacers surging and Knicks slumping. NYK just 3 games ahead and are about to lose to the Clippers tonight. IND could still win vs. Lakers.

This is the realistic order I want...

CLE
BOS
NYK
IND
DET
ORL
MIL
ATL

Any of ATL, MIL, or ORL is preferable over IND or DET. Give me the easiest path to the Finals again.

With the win last night, the Celtics clinched a top 2 seed in the playoffs. They're 4 behind the Cavs for the 1 seed with 8 left.

Problem for us is that the Cavs are 38-9 and the Celtics are 35-11 in conference and that's the second tiebreaker.

Barring a suprise, the C's are still getting the Hawks or Magic in the first round. Unless one of those teams blows their spot and the Bulls pass them.

We play the winner of 7/8 and the Hawks and Magic are likely getting 7/8

Not worried about any first round matchup. No disrespect to whoever lands at 7, but yeah.

Main concern is making quick work out of the second round for injury avoidance in the ECF. If things hold as they are now, I'd MUCH prefer NYK in the 2nd round over IND... Also it would just be great TV if the 2nd round was CLE v IND and BOS v NYK.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Knicks need one win or one Pacers loss to clinch the 3rd seed. However, if you look at the schedules, there's a decent chance that neither happens.

Knicks:
at DET (no OG, Mitch or Hart)
CLE (B2B)
at BKN

Pacers:
CLE (no Mitchell, Garland, Mobley, Strus)
ORL (B2B)--ORL just clinched 7th, do they rest guys?
CLE (will be resting everyone)

I think most of us on here prefer the Knicks in Round 2, but it's possible at this point that it might not happen.

I would not be surprised if NY intentionally drops to 4th to avoid the Cs in the 2nd rnd.

I see what you are saying but going 6/6 is tough no matter what.

Another thing to watch: Unlikely that the Hawks fall out of the 8 seed, but there's a scenario where it happens. If the Bulls win both games left, and the Hawks lose 2/3, the Bulls will be the 8 seed. It's unlikely though, as the Hawks will likely have the tiebreaker on the Bulls due to conference record.

Hawks:
@BKN
@PHI (B2B)
ORL

Bulls:
WSH
@PHI

The Heat TECHNICALLY could too, but they would need to win out and have the Hawks win only one game/the Bulls lose out. So, incredibly unlikely.

I'd rather not see the Hawks or Pacers but will still profess that it shouldn't matter to this Celtics team.
Expecting ORL/NYK/CLE/OKC and that last one is a coin flip at best

Always hate that line of thinking by a team. Never take your foot off the gas during a playoff push. They stink whether it's the 3rd or 4th seed. :lol:

Idk. I’d rather face the Knicks than a healthy Pacers team.

I think that speaks for most all of us.

Plus as strange as it is to say the Pacers posters are way more annoying than the Knicks'.
