I’d be down to try another variation of the “Franchise” draft concept- this time we all draft franchises and can only use players drafted by that franchise.

I think the only pitfall the last time we did this was multiple teams using the same players.

Yeah should probably be interesting.

We're currently in a weird situation in terms of sign-ups though. I uploaded a poll to determine the next game, and then the college signups page was added, and it's still under discussion. I was just about to start signups for the Redick draft.

mvp in a decade and same franchise players from other decades.

Choose an mvp from a decade and all your team must be players with chosen seasons from that franchise but different decade than the chosen mvp.

eg. Jokic 2024 and only Nuggets players from other decades not 2020s

Weird idea for a finals: what if we had the entire draft bracket on the forums in a voting format except for the finals - which would be simulated on NBA2K between the top two teams, and streamed on Twitch for all to see if they wanted

Continental Draft: your roster must contain at least one and no more than two players from each continent (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania)

Country of birth used to determine the assigned continent

How about a Catholic schools draft, where every player drafted had to play at a Catholic school in college. The pool is actually deeper than you might expect.

Four Rings GOAT Candidates

Shaq LBJ Steph are eligible + all their teammates. Shaq LBJ Steph are players with 4 rings, and within the top 15 of the RealGM Top 100 project.

Top end talent: LeBron KD Shaq Steph Kobe Wade Davis Nash KG Luka Paul Malone Kyrie Butler Pierce Allen Mourning Penny Westbrook Rice Payton Amar'e EJ Klay Draymond Richmond etc.

If we go 4 to 5, we add Magic Kobe and Duncan - and also include guys like Kareem Worthy Pau Howard Robinson Manu Kawhi Parker Tracy etc.

Do Carmelo and Dwight draft similar to the JJ Redick draft. One category would be top five in scoring per game for a season. One category would be top five in DPOY for a season. The other categories would be the three teams each played the most games for.

Another possible category is LeBron teammates (both were). DPOY candidates and scoring leaders are sure to be stacked.

Maybe also at least 6 teams traveller.

Yeah I like that. We haven't done a game with a shorter time frame in a while.

The sad thing is that if you start with the 2008-09 season (the first season AFTER the Olympics) the Pistons bring virtually nothing to the table in terms of the draft board. :lol:

Though I dunno if you start with the 2007-08 or 2008-09.
