Watching the Heat dismantle the Bulls right now is precisely the reason why I have no faith in this team. Coaches like Spo always have their teams ready and up for big games. They also have a very good understanding of how to counter game plans and aren't afraid of getting creative. All great attributes of a coach to have in a playoff series. Unfortunately Thibs doesn't possess a single one of these characteristics.

I mean last year we beat the Sixers that had Embiid and Maxey while we had Mitch on one foot, no Randle. And then we took the pacers to 7 with just Brunson. I’d say Thibs had us pretty prepared. We were just unfortunate with injuries. This time around everyone is healthy thankfully.

Also one of his former players said that Thibs is the most prepared coach they’ve ever played for. I forgot who it was.

OKC and Memphis injury reports been crazy all season. it's once again a much more nuanced conversation than we collectively want to accept.

We all know other teams have injuries but still choose to be insufferable about Thibs

If you look at the minutes and games played on the Knicks by starters versus other teams it is night and day. But once you get a label that is a super easy talking point.

Two things can be true here i think:

1) Thibs was not the reason why Randle got hurt last year and it was asinine to blame him for someone undercutting him while he was elevating.

2) He absolutely was playing Mikal, OG, Josh, and KAT way too many minutes this season and did not give the bench an opportunity to help. It shouldn't have taken Brunson going down for us to learn that Wright and Kolek can contribute positively.

Our 4th quarter metrics have been horrible from what I recall and we all saw guys visibly gassed in multiple contests.

The Minutes Police will stand firm on this position.

Your statement for us to learm is the real issue. Thibs does not have to show us anything. His job is to win games and satisfy his gm. Garden sold out. Check. Knicks making money. Check. That's all he's got to do.

I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on in Memphis, but I don't think it had anything to do with playing younger guys.

I may have got him confused with Denver's coach who was fired or someone else.

Yeah, that'd be Denver and Malone. Malone and the front office have been at odds with one another for years, though. I'm not even a Denver fan and I'm still questioning the front office's transactions these last couple of years. They're more concern with saving money then being competitive is what I concluded.

Thibs knows more about the team than we will ever know. It isn't his responsibility to prove to us what works and what doesn't. He just has to carry out his orders.
