... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One of these things begets the other...

This is an incredibly silly perspective. I have no idea where people come up with these takes.

This team is badly flawed and had no business in the playoffs. They need a new GM, several new players and yes, probably a new coach. But the new coach is far less important than the other 2 areas.
Orlando is definitely a playoff team. I would honestly take them over most teams in the east outside of Bost, Mil, NY and Cleveland. The issue is Boston is just a better team.
Okay….
What about the West?

Why does the West matter? You side the Magic had business in the playoffs, hence why I mention eastern conference teams.

Has nothing to do with the playoffs. I’m just saying how many teams do you rank before the Magic when it comes to the east and west.
That’s kind of important from a competitive standpoint

10 other players played besides Paolo and Franz and they took 30 shots in 160 combined minutes.
The odds of any of them, all of them role players too, getting into any sort of rhythm or being effective at that little volume is just so low.
Effort is not the problem, we just don't have other players with the skills needed to really trouble an elite playoff defence.ORLMagicGirl15 wrote:I am still confused how Franz and Paolo, a 22 and 23 year old, can show up and give effort in the playoffs, but other players who have more experience have no idea how to do that.

The only ones who were getting open looks from 3 were Wendell and Franz because the Celtics were daring them above the break ones.ORLMagicGirl15 wrote:Bergmaniac wrote:Effort is not the problem, we just don't have other players with the skills needed to really trouble an elite playoff defence.ORLMagicGirl15 wrote:I am still confused how Franz and Paolo, a 22 and 23 year old, can show up and give effort in the playoffs, but other players who have more experience have no idea how to do that.
What skill do you need to hit a wide open shot or make it at the rim.

You're doing that thing again where you conflate scoring points with giving effort.
The effort generally speaking was fine. The ball movement wasn't particularly good. Paolo and Franz had 39% and 37% usage rates.
The role players barely touched the ball all things considered.

What exactly is stopping them from putting up shots? I feel like whenever their open shots don’t go in, they don’t even bother trying.

Doesn’t matter if the FO doesn’t do their job and Mosley doesn’t install some sort of system that isn’t so heavily reliant on ISO-ball.
