If we get past the Pistons, it's due to the talent gap even though we will probably be swept in semis; if not we may prepare our next coach, people always said this is the best roster this coach has ever got.

Already is.... he needed to be more "agressive" in attacking the doubles.

I don't see it as an overreaction if the way this team loses is consistent. Zero adjustments.

It says a lot about Tom that it's 100% in the scouting report to not call timeouts so you can be sure Brunson can't walk in the final minute

That's incredible and true

Why? You know why.

Schwinn from the Strickland and the Locked on Knicks guys seem to be the voices in the wilderness here on why we need to dump Thibs.

I wonder how noted Thibs ballboy Macri is gonna spin this coaching exhibition?

The most shocking stat is Detroit only had 11 assists total... Cade had 3 and 5 turnovers and we still lost.

Even with the Pistons throwing double teams at him you still want to see more assertiveness and aggression from him and he just didn’t bring that. He’s probably more ideal in a 3rd option role and this team doesn’t have that true 2nd option. Not that it’s needed to beat the Pistons though, I think we can and should still win this series but after that we need to seriously evaluate this roster and ask ourselves are they really capable of being better or is this basically the peak of who we are

I don't mind **** on KAT, but this was a coaching problem because you can't tell me there's zero offensive plays out there in the league that can get KAT a couple of 3's.

KAT is very capable of getting 3s when his juices are flowing. He gets his juices flowing when he’s able to mix it up and see a few go in from inside. But his interior game got shut down and because he wasn’t in any type of flow he wasn’t even looking to really shoot.

Yes he should have been more assertive but there’s no reason you don’t run more looks for him to put him in different actions that would open the floor up for the team or for him to get better looks.

We ran a very nonsensical offense tonight, even with a poor whistle all game being as stagnant as they were was inexcusable in that 2nd half, made for an easy gameplan defensively for DET

Honestly once they started doubling Towns he became a liability offensively. The problem with Towns is that he cannot create looks for others consistently. He is predictable offensively and the Pistons weren’t allowing him to get an easy shot off from three. You can say “run more actions for Towns” but the Pistons knew exactly how they should attack him.

They were out rebounded by 14. It was legitimately an issue for a majority of the game.
