KAT is obviously a better player. But he's like a square peg in a round hole and maybe the real issue is he's not able to defend whereas you can hide Randle's defense some

I don't know ... I'm doing a rare thing by admitting I don't know.

But KAT is probably the most talented guy with this little impact in NBA history. Dude can make any shot and is a great passer. He also works his butt off.

And yet he's a non-factor against a team that is not great.

I will say that kats defense has NOT been in issue in these 2 games. He has been surprisingly good in both games. The issue is we don't set him up to utilize his talents on offense. That's a major issue so far in this series.

watch this damn clip...we ran this set once...ONCE and it got Brunson an open 3...using Hart as an off ball down screener to get on of our scorer open...the fact we haven't spammed this play or other plays is crazy so me.

brunson eFG% in catch and shoot sky rockets...if they over play or help off then you will have hart open down low....you can also run this for KAT/Mikal/OG anyone that you want to get open for a shot but especially brunson because what they will have to do is either switch or help off which gives Brunson driving lanes as well off the catch if they overplay.

it makes no sense...there second best player is what Tobias Harris? Dennis Schroder?

We built this team to not be solely reliant Brunson so that we could be more dynamic....so its not just Cade vs Brunson its our team vs Cade.

But Brunson is playing more minutes, taking more shots, and has a higher usage on a team with KAT, OG, and Mikal on it...like we have way more offensive fire power...but we are even playing more Brunson hero ball. It makes literally no sense...or it actually does make sense because well you know why...

We really don’t when you look at how much we lost. Randle, RJ, Donte, IHart, Grimes, IQ is a ton of offense lost. We basically took two steps back to move one step forward and at best we moved two steps forward and are just back to where we were but I think the depth we lost has set us back some.

The other reality check is had MB made one or two of those three misses, we'd be sitting here saying JB deferred to him and we won. And MB is finally living up to his expectations, etc.

Still, we played G1 and G2 very poorly no matter the win or loss. I sounded the alarm after G1, because I didn't think JB "won" that game.

well when you don't allow our 7 foot nearly 30 pt per game efficient talent to even take a shot in the entire 4th qtr yes...the offense will look the same because we are running the exact same offense we did the last two years with completely different talent.

It's hilarious that for all the guys dribbling on the perimeter and deciding what to do -- which is our whole offense -- I'd be much more comfortable with KAT doing that than anybody else. So even within the structure of Thibs' completely predictable offense, we are avoiding the one guy who can probably bail us out.

The Pacers have a winning record against .500 or better teams the last two seasons, we have never had a winning record vs .500 or better with Thibs. The Cavs were 6 games under vs .500 teams last season, this season they were 28-11 against those teams.
