GTJ with the flamethrower but Dairy had a quiet really nice game. 4/8 with stout defense and good swing passing. Funny how when you flank the most dominant interior presence on Earth (who's getting doubled a lot) with proven shooters who aren't afraid, good things generally happen.

Game 2 was the game to steal. Had Doc's moronic insistence on the jumbo lineup in the first half given way sooner we probably win and are in control.

I **** LOVED when Nemhard tried to house Green and he was a brick wall and they called a foul and Green was hyped.

Yup. Green immediately started talking **** to him too, saying there was no foul.

Dame just needs to cut out the heat check 3s.

I know they’ve been a big part of his game forever, but we don’t need them here and he’s not the player he was like 7 years ago.

Let the game come to you and trust the ball will find you Dame

Green attacked 3 or 4 close outs tonight and found open players.

He needs more minutes.

Is it a heat check three when you're 0-8 though.

If you want to use him as a post up big to hang fouls on Turner and Siakam, I could squint and maybe see some utility in spurts. But as is, it’s just senseless.

Ditto all that for Prince. No role in this series.

Agree, which is why a lineup with Giannis, Kuzma and Brook in at the same time cannot sustain good play, all three thrive inside and spacing is yuck. Then on D they can’t match up with a three guard lineup.

This, or Sims, reserving Bobby’s offense for the 2nd unit.

Kuz should only play when Giannis is off court. He’s like a homeless man’s version and is redundant in the lineup.

I could be proven wrong but I think you can play him when Haliburton is off the floor. You can go under against McConnell and Nemhard.

McConnell is one of those small guards who struggles from the perimeter because he just doesn’t have the physical strength to be consistent from 3. You absolutely want to make him a perimeter shooter.

It's not like he's coming back to do his local park run either. He's coming back into intense NBA playoff games.

He needs the reps in a game to get his rhythm back. No matter how hard you do it, running around a gym is not going to do that. Luckily, we have a team (for tonight at least) that can make up for his deficiencies until he gets there. At least his D was on point tonight.

Stop making excuses. He’s been awful. Either you can come and contribute or you can’t. That’s on his dumb coach. That dudes been playing basketball every day many years. Being out for a few weeks ain’t gonna make you be that bad. He’s just not that guy.
I get what you're saying, and by the eye test you have a fair point, but I just see the game in shades of grey.

The Bucks are a team. Tonight, GT offset Dame's poor offence, but Dame and AJ soaked up TP's minutes and offset his normally poor D. And the Pacers have to respect the fact that Dame is on the floor. That permanently attracts one defender away from Giannis and the other shooters.

Whether starting GT was a Doc master stroke, or GT taking full advantage to show what he has as a starter is up to you. Personally, I think it's the second option.

Dame certainly needs to pick up his overall play, but we saw how he was after the illness he had post NBA cup. He couldn't blow by anyone for the first few games, then he was back to himself after that. Hopefully he is back to himself next game.

Exactly. Why you can play drop coverage with Lopez to allow his primary defender to recover.

He reminds of Pat in a way. Nothing about play style, but they both seem undeterred by playoff basketball. Confident dudes finding a way.

We’ve had so many guys over the years seem timid when the physicality ramped up.

Indiana might win the series, but I've never seen a team full of more frontrunners in my life.

If Doc wakes up this team can go on an insane heater we can compete with and beat anybody. We’re just hamstrung by poor coaching

It’s hilarious how starting an actual SG at SG, something most of us on here have been calling for for months now, makes the starting lineup go from awful to playing the Pacers even.

Imagine how good the starting lineup would look by pulling Kuz and his space killing for another shooter and pulling slow Brook for a center that can go full switch.

Not a coincidence that TP and Brook hardly played in the second half.

This is why you let Brook walk. I’d rather they keep Sims than Brook for next season.
