Even when the big 3 was here our offense was underwhelming for what it probably could have/should have been. I do think it couldn't hurt to try to get an offensive mind on the staff for a change, even if not in the HC spot.

The scary part is the Cavs/Thunder will be even better next year. Some collusion needs to take place to stop that Duopoly madness. Its gonna take way too long for teams to catch up at this rate

This I do agree with. When offense looks as painful as it does, it's time for something new.

But again, it is still really hard to say this though. Because the rosters are just so ridiculously bad/mismatched. We have Bam and Herro and then everyone else is literally a rookie, developing young player (Jovi), from the G-league, or fringe NBA players.

I mean relative to talent level? Even if you give them a pass in 2011 because lack of role players (but Wade was still a top 3-5 player that season, so I can't give them that much of a pass) they were supposed to be head and shoulders above the league. Pretty sure at least one of LeBron's Cleveland seasons (from his first stint even, not his second) they had a better offensive season than the Heat.

I disagree with some of it (wouldn't even put Kobe on the same tier of LeBron in terms of ATG's) but I'm in no mood to defend Herro or Bam. Both were dreadful this series. But if it makes you feel better, Herro was clearly worse in this one, where the whole team just collectively said "f it" from the beginning of the night (they at least competed for 5 minutes in game 3).

Problem is coaches run in cliques, all the Riley/Heat guys are defensive guys, while the Adelman's/D'antoni's etc have their own tight knit groups. I do have to laugh thinking back to 2010 though and Spo talking up how he watched the Oregon football team and was going to translate that to our offense... how about just hire some good offensive minds for a change, lord knows there's enough that get fired every year you can borrow someone.

I think they just need someone to jump in when Spo is doing a system reboot and make a decision. I see this all the time, decision paralysis. He is an exceptional planner, perhaps one of the all time greats, but when his plan suffers a deviation he ends up doing the dumbest stuff. A great leader recognizes their weaknesses. I don’t mind people calling me out on stuff and I make a fraction of Spo’s salary. He should pay me for all this advice. Hit me up.
