Absolutely pathetic man nothing can be easy
-Brunson was brutal
-Mitch was great but lost a bunch of balls
-KAT wasn't great
-McBride is lost
-Everyone blaming Bridges but he was fine
Even with all that we were rite there, they defended fine,
Will be closed out game 6, chill out.

Thibs is the one setting up the game plan. Everything falls on him.

Re: PG - this is the opposite of fun
I'm looking at the play by play
https://www.espn.com/nba/playbyplay/_/gameId/401768044
Knicks took the lead in the 4th quarter (88-87) on a Brunson free throw with 6:53 left
Game was tied at 90-90 off a Mitch basket with 5:15 to go
Knicks tied it again at 95-95 with KAT three off a Hart assist with 3:25 to go
We were in a position to win the game with 3:25 to go.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!?!
Pistons get 3 baskets in the next minute and a half, and go on a 6-0 run
So we could not get stops and we could not score
Mikal makes it a 4 point game with 50.1 seconds to go
Next possession, Ausar Thompson scores off a Cade assist and now it's 103-97 with only 27.1 seconds to go
Cade was responsible for pretty much every play on the offensive end during the end
That 8-2 run for the Pistons from 3:25 to 27.1 seconds is what lost us the game.
We made crucial mistakes during that 3 minute stretch. We relied on miracle threes from Mikal and OG to keep it close, but it wasn't enough. It also should not have come down to Deuce's free throws.

This is why trading 5 picks for mikal makes no sense.
We have no one on this team who can create outside Brunson and a coach who runs iso sets or wants his team to run off turnovers/rebounds.
Need play calling to actually see if you have a secondary shot creator. Mikal on paper should be able to do it. He was doing it in the early part of last season with the Nets. It's the **** system. I literally want to start a 2K season and fire Thibs immediately.
Sure, but we still need a guy who can cook 1v1. That's playoff basketball. The reason this series looks so bad is there are 2 guys in the whole series who are really 1v1 players. their coach runs some PnR with baseline cuts. But those are the only plays were seeing in the whole series. Its just bad basketball with misused talent on our side. Though we need someone outside of Brunson who can create.

Just a bunch of guys who have had good offensive stats at various points
When you take a hard look at Bridges, what’s his true track record? Many guys have had a couple of years that were good but didn’t keep it up
Likely there’s not much there that’s actually ever gonna pay off … some guys have a couple nice seasons and then fade away
What bothers me about Bridges is in Thibs substitution pattern he and Kat go off together, then return when JB and OG sit. That's when we need Bridges to step up and score, along with KAT of course. But he doesn't seize the moment, take the initiative. He's just not that guy. That's why we need another shot creator
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Our bench outside of Mitch and an occasional Payne outburst is flat out awful.
Duece has regressed so badly that he is unplayable. He can’t finish around the paint to save his life, he can’t dribble, is undersized, and can no longer shoot.
Why is Thibs playing him? He’s atrocious. Give Delon his minutes.
We don't have a bench. Two guys does not make up a bench. Starting 5 with Deuce/Mitch. That's all we have. 8-9 minutes every few games doesn't qualify as a bench role. No player is giving you anything consistent with that role.
Duece has not been good this season. No amount of minutes will fix that broken jump shot and awful handle.
The bench is a serious problem that needs to be addressed during the offseason. You also better hope Kolek, Huk and Dadiet make a leap and turn into rotation players because they do not have financial flexibility to make any legit signings.

Stop, nonsense this is over Thursday night. I know it's the simple thing to do w what we have been through as fans for so long(lol) but Brunson and KAT not shooting 9/30 again.

Never. I'm so mentally exhausted with the same set over and over and over again.
Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
All freaking year. For the last three years since JB arrived. Oh and before that Julius
How in the fck does that make you a good coach????

Listen. Whole bunch of us loved the team, live and die with it, like the game of basketball, and then the guy in charge has no grasp of the details and seems to be unable to do the basic requirements of the job.
Those two things don’t go together. It’s beneath the hope and loyalty of us as fans! Abused fans of the world unite.
The NBA hates us and even the Knicks hate us. They put in charge these people who don’t belong there and who just continue this legacy of embarrassment and carelessness at our expense.
Thibs sucks and needs to go. I don't know about all that other jazz. I'm not watching another game unless miracles occur. I don't see the logic in getting excited to win one of the next two games...only to be completely embarrassed by one of our most hated rivals immediately after that. We are not going to win a single game or even have a single good game against anyone after this. We aren't even playing well now against the lesser opponent we have now. It won't get any better than that 3-1 fugazi lead we had two hours ago. Thibs sucks.

Someone should tell Thibodeau that isolation basketball for 48 minutes wears down the players.

No. We haven't played well the entire series. If not for a missed call we're down 3-2 easily right now. Where do you get your confidence from? Blue and Orange lenses?

Re: PG - this is the opposite of fun
Thibs made some good coaching decisions this game.
When the Pistons started to hack-a-Mitch, KAT was about to come back in. Thibs held off and kept Mitch in the game and got more good play out of him.
We had a well rested KAT and Mikal to start the 4th quarter, allowing us to rest Jalen, Josh, and OG to start the 4th quarter. Substitution patterns at the end of the 3rd and start at the 4th were actually on point IMO.
Thibs is gonna look at the 3:25 to 0:27 stretch in the 4th quarter to figure out how we actually lost the game and what adjustments we make in Game 6 to win the series.
We were right there and there is no reason to give up. Pistons still had their hands full dealing with the Knicks.
Pistons don't have the talent on either end to blow us out. I will be shocked if we completely throw the series away and something that catastrophic happens.

Wasn't Thibs an assistant under Doc when Doc won in Boston? The say the apple doesn't fall far from the (coaching) tree...
