[Context]

I have been watching Mikal since college. He was the best player technically on the Nova squad because guys were getting drafted for length and potential. He had a compete game. The thing that stuck out to me always was this man’s clutch play on both ends.

This can seriously catepolt Mikal Bridges going forward watching his career. He’s a momentum player. We are speaking like this after 8 points bc it’s what he did to help the team.

I will repeat this forever- that game he had against wemby on Christmas solidified him for me.

After the mishap with Thibs he balled out. He has the DNA hope we get him some better looks.

I put all offensive short comings of Mikal and Towns on Thibs. Period…
But absolutely- machine Mikal has the dna and he believes in himself and he’s showing it on the big stage.

Mitch deserves some love too. Gave a good 20 minutes and allowed JB to get some important rest when Thibs went with the two bigs lineup.

He just needs to work on those FT’s cuz it will be huge this series if he can make them pay for intentionally fouling him.

Hearing Mitch say “we’ve been here before” to his teammates while they were down was inspirational.

Game 2 is going to be much harder, imho.

Celtics missed a bunch of threes. And the Mitch hacking was very amateurish. Why was he getting Shaq treatment lol?

I just feel Knicks played like 99% of their potential while Celtics made giant mistakes that can be easily fixed.

The Celtics' entire offense is dependent on 3 pointers.

The Knicks didn't play close to 99% with their second best player in KAT being in foul trouble.

I think they're gonna run out on us in G2 but we showed we can keep it close. And we have the best closer(s).

2-0 big dawg, they were up 20 today and couldn't close it out, we comeback home up 2-0, last time we started off 4-0 on the road in the playoffs, well I'm sure you all know.

It wasn’t his best game although he did have the tip-in in OT that put us up 5 with 1:47 or so left, which were the last points of the game. Could have had GW assist in regular time if Brunson’s shot didn’t rim out . But he will adjust. Gotta find a way to not get the fouls and cut back on the mistakes

I bashed the switching D but a pull up 3 off dribble is better than a wide open one in rhythm off a pass. Interesting to see what Happens game 2 because they will be attaching after missing all those 3s. Then again they may take 70.

Too much isolation against a good defender in Horford, offensively he wasn't great, defensively and protecting the boards he was fine. When Horford is on him they have to spam screens, they started doing it was working but the ball handlers didn't see when he was wide open at the top of the key a couple times.

The Detroit series was a blessing in disguise

It toughened this squad up and put them through enough adversity to be ready to bring the heat vs. Boston

This is how a team's identity gets made like steel being forged into a cutting blade

Now they need to lean in harder and clamp down defensively, because we know they can play it for real

He won’t get any level of the love of guys like Brunson, Mikal, OG, or Hart and that’s more than fair, but Mitch had some very good minutes as well.

In the first half he looked like he couldn’t do anything. He had to get pulled (rightfully so) because of this and the hack a Mitch.

We will need to be strategic with how we use him with his clear faults and apparent drop in athleticism, but he can still be very useful in the right situations

I also think the Pistons were a tougher test than many realized. They don't have the Celtics' talent but they had chutzpah.

Do they believe -they are capable of beat the defending champs-they will never give up and have a big chip on their shoulder.

He was pissed from not getting the foul call on his jumper at the start of OT and then just decided to take over as revenge.

its hard for some to to measure it, especially, in a world that gets dominated by YouTube clips and highlights.

But he's a winner...he's done it everyone he's been. He know what it takes to win basketball games. Simple as that.

Never in doubt.

I'm glad his value is really getting a chance to be proven.
