I was kinda split i loved gp and kemp and rooted for em. But I didnt have cable growing up. Ended up watching the knicks more on NBC on Sundays and that's how I ended up being a fan. Loved the way they played and what the team embodied. Instantly became a fan. Still fcked with the sonics. Was gutted when they lost to the bulls. George Karl should have had gp checking mj earlier in that series. He blew it.

George Karl didn’t wanna put Gary on him cause he was injured.. I’d imagine if Gary was healthy we might’ve saw a different finals altogether

After scoring 36 in Game 3, MJ was held down to 23 points on 6-19 shooting in Game 4 with the Sonics winning the contest 107-86. Then in Game 5, Jordan scored 26 on 11-22 shooting, but the Bulls shot just 29-77 as a team and lost again, 89-78.

"I wish I could have played [Michael] in the first three games, but I had torn a muscle in my calf and George had told me that he didn’t want to wear me out. I was telling George, 'Please just let me play against him.' First game, he killed us. George didn’t really want me to do that. He said, 'Well, we’ve got a long series, let’s just wait.'” Payton said.

Watching how much SGA is struggling against Braun, then thinking about how that would look against OG now that the refs are letting teams play real basketball

The Cavs are diminished so I think we'd be favorites. 60/40 against the Pacers. They're a dangerous, cold-blooded team.

We need to win one of these two home games. We can get to them if we play physical and KAT hurts them in the paint. The Celtics are a great team but I always thought they could fold if a team applied the appropriate amount pressure.

We've got a couple problems with this... first no. Were not losing to that team. 2nd basically admitting your boy is being carried. 3rd you need to be checked this is the 2nd outlandish thing you've said disparaging your knicks.

I would rather play a rested and healthy Pacers team than the Cavs.

Not saying the Pacers suck or knicks would win easily - but the Cavs have maybe the 3 best players in that series and are just underperforming. They still should have won game 2 and be up 2-1 right now despite the injuries. Pacers style is tough to deal with but we have way more talent.
