we should have re-sign him?

Post#1 » by ItsaVC3 » Thu Dec 20, 2007 6:35 pm

why did we let Luis Vizcaino go he did pretty for us last year. i dont really trust latroy that much. if im not mistaking i think luis is younger then latroy and i would have given luis a 3 or 4 yr deal. we should have signed both cause i see latroy doing bad then luis did in his first yr.

the going rate is 3 years for relief pitchers

with Viz tired shoulder, i'll pass

the pen is always hit and miss, so instead of wasting money on FA, we'll just patch it up internally, we got plenty of guys

im not fan of hawkins, but im not keen on Viz either. soo with that said. id rather take hawkins and his 1 yr deal over viz wanting 3. plus with viz going else where we get a sup pick, which if i recall the last sup picks we had we drafted Joba Chamberlin and Ian Kennedy... soo that worked out WELL for us so lets hope it works well for us again.

plus id take hawkins 1 yr to Viz 3 cause we have so many young arms that might not be starters so we can fill our pen with them. you know people like Marquez, horne, sanchez, ohlendorf.etc

Kennedy wasn't a supplemental pick, he was a first rounder. Viz a 3 year deal? hahaha ok get off the crack

ok ur right kennedy wanst a sup pick, but we did get that pick we used to take kennedy and Joba from losing Tom Gordon.

otherwise we wouldnt have any any picks the first round that year cause we gave our picks to boston when we signed damon.

boston selected Daniel Bard in rd 1 and they selected Kris Johnson before we selected joba... so when i look at that. us losing Gordon was the best thing to happen to us draft wise lately
